Fantasy Football Gameweek 35 Advice, Tips and Transfer Changes
Four gameweeks remain as the Fantasy Premier League season nears its end. Here’s our look at some potential weekend picks for Gameweek 35+.
Once again there are a few teams with favourable fixtures, particularly Liverpool at home to Burnley and Manchester United’s Monday Nigth home fixture to Southampton, but where will the points come from this week and which players should you transfer into your squad?
Goalkeepers and Defenders Tips
Emiliano Martinez (4.3m) has performed well since taking his place between the sticks in Bernd Leno’s absence. Arsenal have tallied up three clean sheets in those five appearances and face a blunt looking Spurs side in the North London Derby. There are worse budget goalkeepers to see out the season with.
West Ham’s Aaron Cresswell (4.5m) is an interesting option ahead of a trip to Norwich. The Hammers can relegate a low-on-confidence Norwich with a win on Saturday. The Canaries have one goal in six and Cresswell has demonstrated his attacking potential with three goals this season.
Christian Pulisic has received all the attention in our recent picks but he isn’t the only Chelsea asset performing well above their price bracket. Willian (7.3m) has scored four and assisted two in his last four games, delivering nine points or more in each. Three penalties and a direct free-kick may not be the most sustainable method of scoring but with Pulisic in the side, the Blues may earn more before the season is out.
An under-the-radar pick from the Champions is Naby Keita (5.8m). The Mali international has now started the last two, grabbing an assist in each. Liverpool face a Burnley side prone to capitulation against the top sides in the league.
Predicting which Man City assets will play, let alone score the best in any given Gameweek is a fool’s game. As such, the most affordable midfield option, Phil Foden (5.4m), may be the answer. Having started the previous Gameweek he may well start from the bench but four goals and an assist since the restart is reason enough to roll the dice against Brighton.
Jack Grealish (6.0m) is a name that has been missing from these picks for some time. The Villa captain has struggled for FPL returns as his side slip closer towards the drop. A home fixture against an out-of-sorts Crystal Palace is as close to a must-win as you can get. If Villa are to get anything, Grealish will almost certainly be involved in some capacity.
With Norwich as good as down and West Ham having a golden opportunity to secure their safety, this could be the time to chance your arm with their record signing, Sebastien Haller (6.8m). Haller returned to action after injury, coming close to scoring last gameweek. The Hammers frontman has seven goals and faces the league’s worst defence.
We conclude this week’s preview with the Premier League top goalscorer, Jamie Vardy (9.8m). Back in form with three goals in two games, Vardy now faces 18th placed Bournemouth. The Cherries have the second-worst defensive record in the league and shipped five against Manchester United last week.
