FanTeam Gameweeek 2 Tips

Fanteam Gameweek 2 tips

Jordan Pickford – Everton (9.5)

Everton were perhaps the most impressive side in the opening round of fixtures and come up against West Brom. The Baggies just lost 3-0 to Leicester and may struggle to create many chances. As such, an additional point for a win looks likely for Pickford.

Lucas Digne – Everton (10.0)

The French left-back bagged an assist from his indirect free-kick against Tottenham and worthy of the additional investment over his defensive teammates for the FanTeam free bet review of 2020 this week. Digne provides by far the most attacking potential and will only cost 0.48 bonus points more than the cheapest alternative, Yerry Mina.

Hector Bellerin – Arsenal (9.5)

Arsenal weren’t troubled often by Fulham in their 3-0 win and look good value for a clean sheet against West Ham in the Premier League this weekend. Bellerin got forwards often and was very close to bagging assist points. He comes in at £0.1m cheaper than Kieran Tierney.

Jack O’Connell – Sheffield United (6.0)

The least expensive route into the Sheffield United defence this week is Jack O’Connell. He may provide the least attacking potential but not considerably less, making him the best value option. For just £6.0m you’ll be getting a member one of last season’s top defences against Aston Villa.

Charlie Taylor – Burnley (4.7)

The fantasy game is all about finding value and Charlie Taylor certainly offers that potential. By picking him over this week’s most expensive defender, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, you will be gaining a head start of 2.4 bonus points. Add to that an entirely possible clean sheet against Leicester and Taylor looks like a smart investment.

Bruno Fernandes – Manchester United (21.0) (VC)

The second-most expensive selection in this week’s game is Bruno Fernandes and with good reason. Manchester United come up against Crystal Palace with last season’s form still fresh in our minds.

With Palace content to sit back, Manchester United may be given license to play in and around the box, maximising opportunities for long shots and potential penalties. For that reason, Fernandes is the vice-captain choice and is set to earn 1.5x points, although that means, as are the rules on FanTeam, he will cost 1.5x his value.

FanTeam how to play

Heung-Min Son – Tottenham (9.6)

Tottenham’s performance last week might have put off potential investors but this pick isn’t without reason. Their opponents this week are Southampton who often vacated their right flank, which Heung-Min Son will be stationed on. The South Korean could take advantage of any time and space afforded to him and he did look Tottenham’s most likely goal threat in the 1-0 loss to Everton on Sunday.

Adama Traore (6.3)

It’s a tough fixture on paper but the low price point makes it a risk worth taking. Traore started at right-wing back in a 2-0 win over Manchester City last year, before eventually moving to an auxiliary striker spot and scoring two late goals on the counter. He’s worth a punt.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (26.0) (C)

This week’s captain, and as a result our most expensive asset, is Aubameyang. The Arsenal forward scored last week and should get plenty of chances against a poor-looking West Ham side. He doesn’t come cheap but he makes up for that with very likely returns. As is the rules with FanTeam, Aubameyang will get double the points but his fee is also doubled.

Richarlison (11.8)

Not directly involved in the goal against Spurs but very much a part of the action. If he can be more clinical in front of goal, he will be in the points against West Brom this weekend after missing a big chance at Spurs. The Brazilian is always in and around the box and with the supply line of James Rodriguez, an opening goal for the season looks a good shout in FPL here.

Raul Jimenez (7.1)

The Mexican looked alert and clinical against Sheffield United. He assisted both goals in the aforementioned 2-0 win over City last season and is automatically worth 2.31 additional bonus points more than Anthony Martial. Jimenez is another value asset worth the gamble despite Wolves’ tough fixture.
