Barcelona v Real Betis – Saturday 15:15

An improved Barcelona welcome an in-form Betis to the Nou Camp on Saturday afternoon with both clubs in the race for a top four finish.

Barca have picked up two vital league wins since Xavi took over as manager, including an impressive 3-1 win at Villareal last weekend. That result moved them up to seventh place, just five points off the top four.

Betis have been in terrific form and also come into this game off the back of two straight wins. Those victories extended their record to seven wins in 10 matches, which has left them sitting in fifth place, just six points off the top.

This will be Xavi’s biggest test yet as a manager in La Liga, but he could continue his good start in the Barca hot seat in what is sure to be a tight game.

Score Prediction: Barcelona 2-1 Real Betis (13/2 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Over 2.5 goals (4/7 with Paddy Power)

Borussia Dortmund v Bayern Munich – Saturday 17:30

The game of the weekend in the Bundesliga is undoubtedly between the top two sides in the division, as leaders, Bayern Munich, travel to Signal Iduna Park to face second-placed, Borussia Dortmund.

Both sides have identical records over their last 10 league games, with each enjoying eight wins but suffering two defeats. Bayern have scored nine more goals than Dortmund in that run (33) and conceded three goals less (10).

However, Dortmund can boast a record of seven straight home wins in the Bundesliga, whilst Bayern have only managed four wins, one draw and one defeat from their six games on the road.

That said, Bayern have won the last six meetings in all competitions between these clubs, so they might hold the psychological advantage. But Julian Nagelsmann’s side lost 2-1 at Augsburg on their last away trip and laboured to a 1-0 home win against struggling Arminia Bielefeld at the weekend.

Could this be Dortmund’s chance to get one over on their rivals?

Score Prediction: Borussia Dortmund 2-1 Bayern Munich (12/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Borussia Dortmund to win (27/10 with Paddy Power)

Napoli v Atalanta – Saturday 19:45

Serie A leaders, Napoli, will face a tough game on Saturday evening when they welcome an in-form Atalanta to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Napoli had a three-point lead going into midweek thanks to a 4-0 defeat of Lazio at the weekend. They had failed to win their previous two league games and needed that victory to get their title challenge back on track.

Atalanta will arrive in Naples off the back of four straight wins, a run that has seen them move into the top four and just four points off the lead. They can also boast the best away record in Serie A this season, thanks to six wins and one draw from their seven games on the road.

A very tough test for Napoli and Atalanta could cause a shock.

Score Prediction: Napoli 0-1 Atalanta (13/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Atalanta to win (23/10 with Paddy Power)

Real Sociedad v Real Madrid – Saturday 20:00

La Liga leaders, Real Madrid, travel to third placed Real Sociedad in the stand-out fixture in Spain this weekend.

Sociedad will go into the game off the back of a surprise 1-0 defeat at Espanyol at the weekend, only their second league defeat of the season. However, Imanol Alguacil’s men are unbeaten at the Reale Arena and will fancy their chances of closing the four-point gap on the leaders.

Ahead of their midweek fixture with Athletico Bilbao, Madrid had won four games on the bounce in the league, scoring 10 goals in the process to open-up some daylight on the chasing pack. But they failed to keep a clean sheet in any of those victories and average conceding one goal per game.

This should make for an open and exciting game, and we can see this ending in a score draw.

Score Prediction: Real Sociedad 2-2 Real Madrid (11/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Draw (12/5 with Paddy Power)
