After drawing 1-1 at Millwall at the weekend, manager Neil Warnock was aggrieved that a winning goal for his Cardiff team was denied by a refereeing decision near to the end of that match. However, the Bluebirds have now lost just once in seven competitive matches when beaten on home soil by Manchester City in an FA Cup tie. Cardiff now host a Bolton outfit proving to be a difficult team to beat in Championship action at the Macron stadium but struggling for points on the road. Although the Trotters claimed their solitary away victory in league action when winning 1-0 at Sheffield United at the end of December, they have lost their other four latest away games. A home win is predicted for our football accumulator.
Cardiff to beat Bolton.
Conceding very late goals has proved costly for Charlton in their two latest matches. The Addicks were 2-1 ahead against Oxford at the beginning of the month before losing 3-2 and they were denied via a fortunate late equaliser when drawing 1-1 at Doncaster on Saturday. Charlton had won their three previous League One contests and now host a Bradford team which ended a losing sequence of five league games by earning a 2-2 home draw with Bury at the weekend. At least two goals have been conceded by the Bantams in each of their last six league games and they are facing another defeat at Charlton.
Charlton to beat Bradford.
During the first few weeks of the League One campaign, Plymouth lost nine of their opening twelve fixtures, but they have gradually improved as a team, and they have been beaten only by Wigan in league action since the beginning of December. The Pilgrims will now aim to extend a current winning sequence to four matches which includes victories against Shrewsbury and Blackburn. Plymouth will host a Wimbledon outfit which has lost all three games this month with seven goals conceded, although they did win decisively at an out-of-form Bradford last month. Northampton won 3-1 at Kingsmeadow on Saturday, and Plymouth are set to extend the Dons losing sequence to four matches.
Plymouth to beat AFC Wimbledon.
It has been a strange year to date for Oxford with three wins earned and three defeats suffered from their six League One fixtures and they claimed a 3-2 victory at Charlton by scoring two very late goals. After incurring a 2-1 home defeat by Bristol Rovers at the weekend, Oxford now travel to Rotherham with the hosts unbeaten in eleven league games with no more than one goal conceded in any of those fixtures. The Millers have also won their last four matches and appear set to inflict a third defeat in four away contests upon Oxford.
Rotherham to beat Oxford
Crewe averted losing a fifth successive League Two league match at the weekend when drawing 0-0 at Yeovil, and they had conceded eleven goals in their three previous matches. However, the Railwaymen now travel to face an Accrington Stanley team aiming to win a fifth successive league game on home soil, and winners of all three League Two fixtures this month. In-form Stanley have netted at least twice in winning those three games and they are likely to claim another three points from this match.
Accrington Stanley to beat Crewe.
