Norwich betting tips

Norwich vs Aston Villa predictions and Championship betting tips for Tuesday night’s fixture. Kick-off is 7:45pm on the 23rd of October and our tipster has selected three recommended bets.

Norwich vs Aston Villa Predictions

The first of our Championship predictions for Tuesday night is for the game to end all-square. Norwich were superb at the weekend, coming from behind to beat Nottingham Forest. Aitor Karanka’s men had been in good form and are difficult to beat at the City Ground but Timm Klose’s double downed the Tricky Trees. Even without Teemu Pukki, who may also miss this game, Norwich created chances in the final third and looked dangerous throughout. Daniel Farke’s side are finally living up to their potential and are quietly making a bid for promotion this campaign. The Canaries are always tough to beat and have lost just once since August 25th and they created more than enough in that tie to take something back from Staffordshire. They’ve also kept three clean sheets in four games here at Carrow Road and won’t make it easy for Villa. The visitors arrive off the back of a morale-boosting win against Swansea. Dean Smith won his first game in charge, which is a rarity for Villa bosses. The former Brentford boss will need to sort his new club’s away form out with the Villains having not won on the road since the opening day of the season. They have drawn three of their last five outside of the Midlands and I believe they will be buoyed enough by Saturday’s victory to come away with something from this encounter. They have a terrible record at this ground and have lost their last three visits but I think they can competitive and pick up a point. The first of our Norwich vs Aston Villa predictions is Draw and it’s available at 12/5 with Bet Victor.

Norwich vs Aston Villa Under/Over Odds

Although there have traditionally been goals between these two teams in previous meetings, I do believe that defensively, both sides are competent and there won’t be much between the pair. Norwich have conceded just three goals in their last five matches and just 16 in 13 overall [four of them to West Brom in August]. At the other end of the pitch, they’ve netted just 17 times in their first 13 matches which isn’t a huge amount and Temmu Pukki’s absence won’t help matters. Onel Herndanez was back at the weekend and he rattled the woodwork but he is unlikely to turn Norwich into a free-scoring outfit alone. Villa do have goals in their side and missed a number of chances at the weekend but they kept a clean sheet against Swansea and that was just their second of the season. When a new manager comes, he always tends to tighten up at the back before turning his attention to the final third and Dean Smith will be looking to plug the holes at the back. Under 2.5 Goals is available at 3/4 with Ladbrokes and it is the second of our Norwich vs Aston Villa predictions for Tuesday night.

Norwich vs Aston Villa Anytime Goalscorer Odds

I’m going to keep faith with the aforementioned Onel Hernandez to find the back of the net in this encounter. The Cuban winger was incredibly unlucky at the weekend and will be looking to make amends for that near miss. He is gradually returning to full fitness and once he’s in full flow, Villa could find it difficult to stop him. He’s been impressive so far and looks a decent price to find the net in this one. He is 33/10 with 888Sport and is the third of our Norwich vs Aston Villa predictions.

Norwich vs Aston Villa Match Betting Preview

Norwich Win – 6/4

Draw – 23/10

Aston Villa Win – 21/10

Norwich start as the favourites for this clash and that is perfectly understandable for a number of reasons. First of all, they have home advantage and Villa have a very poor record in East Anglia. The Canaries can be backed at 6/4 to continue their decent run of form. However, Dean Smith’s tenure is still in its infancy and there was a noticeable improvement in performance at the weekend and it could be churlish to write Villa off at this point. Smith believes his side can still achieve promotion and whilst that is some ask, they could realistically get something from this game. They are 21/10 to win it but it’s also 23/10 to finish all-square at Carrow Road. They’ve drawn three of their five away games so far this season and our football tipster is keen on the stalemate.

Smith’s influence was also telling on a number of players including winger Albert Adomah who grazed the bar against Swansea. The winger seemingly fell out with previous boss Steve Bruce and looked revitalised at the weekend. He could be a decent pick for anytime goalscorer at 15/4 whilst Tammy Abraham looked sharp at Villa Park on Saturday and is 2/1 to find the net in this one. Jordan Rhodes, who was linkd with a move to Villa at one stage of his career is 15/8 to score anytime but he may have to come off the bench to do it. Temmu Pukki is joined by Matt Jarvis, Ivo Pinto and Kenny McLean on the treatment table.

Villa have failed to score in two of their last three visits to this ground and it’s 10/11 for Both Teams to Score? No in this one.
