Everton vs Arsenal Betting Tips and Predictions: Premier League

Everton betting tips

Everton vs Arsenal predictions and betting tips for the Premier League fixture on Sunday 7th April. The Gunners beat Newcastle on Monday night to temporarily displace arch-rivals Spurs as the division’s third best team – a battle we can expect will to and fro until the season’s completion.

I think Arsenal have more than enough in their locker to get past an Everton side that has struggled for consistency since August.

Marco Silva’s men have been unconvincing for large parts which played a huge part in the ex-Watford gaffer being widely expected to get the sack just after the New Year.

Despite odds shortening, Silva has kept his job and oversaw Everton’s win away at West Ham last weekend.

Twenty points currently separate these two ahead of their match this weekend, and if I’m perfectly honestly, I expect it to be an even wider gap come full-time. Unai Emery’s men have worked their way into a position where they’re now favourites to finish highest out of the four teams still vying for the spots beneath Liverpool and Manchester City, and there’s a good reason for that.

Arsenal are in a fairly rich vein of form but their hosts on Sunday have also upped their game over the past fortnight or so. Buoyed by back-to-back 2-0 wins in their last two fixtures, Everton have showed signs that there could be more to come from them next season if one or two high profile additions are recruited.

The Toffees will surely take confidence from the fact that their London opponents have won only five times on the road this season – a huge factor in them not challenging for the title.

Match Odds:

Everton to win – 12/5

Draw – 11/4

Arsenal to win – 5/4

Everton vs Arsenal Betting Tip

You have to go back to the 2013-14 campaign to find the last season in which Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to score 20 goals in all competitions. The 29-year-old has achieved that landmark with consummate ease once again and looks to have really settled in the capital following his switch from Borussia Dortmund fifteen months ago.

As you’d expect for a man with his talent, Aubameyang is right in the thick of it as far as the Premier League goalscoring charts are concerned – battling it out with the likes of Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Mo Salah for the coveted Golden Boot award.

With a handful of matches to play, that personal accolade is still just about within his grasp. A goal at Goodison would certainly improve his chances and I’d have to take my chances on him finding the net when odds of 5/4 are available.

Everton vs Arsenal Correct Score Prediction – Arsenal win 2-1 @ 17/2

Arsenal haven’t lost in the Premier League since being beaten by Manchester City in February, so it’s fair to say The Gunners won’t be short of confidence. Travelling fans will have fond memories of previous trips to Merseyside, including a match a few years back in which Arsenal put six past Everton.

I don’t think it’ll be that comfortable here – not by a long chalk – but you can never really rely on Everton to turn up and put in a performance. Sure, they’ve fared better of late, but I’m plumping for the visitors to win by the odd goal in three. That’s a best price of 17/2.
