Coventry vs Exeter Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

England betting tips

Coventry vs Exeter predictions and betting tips for the League Two Play-Off match on Monday afternoon with a goals tip and match prediction included.

A place in League One awaits for either Coventry or Exeter with the pair meeting at Wembley on May 28th. Coventry demolished Notts County in the second leg of their semi-final and although they’ve been inconsistent throughout the campaign, they looked mightily impressive against the Magpies. Mark Robins has put together a side with plenty of experience (Michael Doyle), firepower (Marc McNulty) and youthful exuberance (Jordan Ponticelli and Tom Bayliss) and it’s a wonderful balance. Exeter are back in the League Two play-off final for the second successive season and will be looking to put the disappointment of 2016/17 behind them. They were beaten narrowly by Blackpool and many punters had written them off this season. Paul Tisdale, who has been strongly linked with the MK Dons vacancy has done an excellent job on a small budget although there have been some disagreements with fans this campaign. They will need to be pulling in the same direction on Monday. See our Coventry vs Exeter betting tips and predictions in the article below:

Coventry vs Exeter Predictions

Coventry are looking for an instant return to League One and they certainly have the players capable of achieving that feat. It’s been a difficult few years for the Sky Blues but they will be confident of bouncing back here. Exeter are difficult to write-off and they should be able to match their opponents throughout the 90 minutes. The first of our Coventry vs Exeter betting tips is Draw which is priced at 11/5 with William Hill.

Many of the play-off finals this weekend are likely to be low-scoring but neither of these two sides are the kind of team who will sit back and concentrate on defending. Coventry have been high-scoring in recent weeks whilst Exeter were ruthless against Lincoln in the semi-final second leg. Over 2.5 Goals is priced at 6/5 with Bet Victor and is the second of our Coventry vs Exeter predictions.

It’s hard to look beyond Marc McNulty, who has been in excellent goalscoring form recently. He netted in both of the semi-finals and he should get plenty of opportunities here. Marc McNulty in the anytime goalscorer market is priced at 6/5 with 888Sport and is the last of our Coventry vs Exeter betting tips.

Coventry vs Exeter Betting Preview

Coventry start as the favourites and can be backed at 6/4 to climb back into League One. Exeter are outsiders and are available at 19/10 whilst it’s 11/5 for the game to end all-square.

The bookies can’t split the goals markets with 10/11 available on Both Teams to Score? Yes and No. Under 2.5 Goals is available at 8/13 with Over 2.5 Goals providing much more value at 6/5.

Marc McNulty and Maxime Biamou both netted in the semi-final and can be backed at 7/2 and 5/1 in the first goalscorer market.
