Wales vs Denmark Predictions

Our Nations League predictions continue with a crucial game at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday night. There is likely to be a good atmosphere as Wales attempt to qualify from Group 4 ahead of Denmark. This is Ryan Giggs’ side final match of the tournament and they have put themselves in the driving seat here. Despite losing 2-0 in Copenhagen, successive victories over Martin O’Neill’s Republic of Ireland have left them top of the standings and three points would put them through. However, that could be easier said than done against a resolute Denmark side. Age Hareide’s side are always robust and efficient operations and they are yet to be breached in this tournament. They conceded just two goals at the World Cup despite playing each of the two finalists and they are likely to make things tough for the home side here. Christian Eriksen described the game as a “like a final” and there should be a real purpose about both sides here. The bad news for Wales is that the Spurs midfielder is fit for this game after overcoming a recent abdominal injury and he is likely to be instrumental once again. Wales are likely to call upon Gareth Bale but it may not be enough for them to clinch all three points. Denmark don’t lose many games and although they occasionally struggle to break stubborn opponents down (Republic of Ireland), they should be able to take a point from this encounter. The draw looks the best bet in this match-up and that will leave the group up for grabs going into the final game.

The Draw is available at 21/10 with Sporting Bet and is the first of our Wales vs Denmark predictions for Friday night.

Wales vs Denmark HT Score Tip

Denmark rely heavily on Eriksen and he is likely to be their best route to goal here. Their goal threat often comes from set-pieces and the Welsh defence will have to keep their eye on the Spurs man. Their games aren’t high-scoring affairs with 11 of their last 12 matches in all competitions ending with fewer than three goals. Wales hit Ireland for four during their last home game in this tournament but the Danish defence is unlikely to be quite so generous here. With so much at stake, it could be a nervy 90 minutes and there may not be much between these sides. Under 2.5 Goals is the sensible outcome here and routinely lands in Denmark matches but it’s priced at around 8/15 and is far too short. A goalless first half could be the best way to play and it would have landed in the last Nations League match for both teams.

Half Time Correct Score – 0-0 is the second of our Wales vs Denmark predictions and is available at 5/4 with Paddy Power

Wales vs Denmark Anytime Goalscorer Prediction

This isn’t the most original selection but the aforementioned Christian Eriksen really does make Denmark tick. He scored the opener when the sides met earlier in the competition and he is likely to be stood over every single set-piece during this encounter. He’s netted three of his side’s last four goals in competitive games and could prove the difference between the two sides in this tense and tight 90 minutes.

Christian Eriksen to Score Anytime is available at 16/5 with Betfair and is the last of our Wales vs Denmark predictions

Wales vs Denmark Betting Preview

The outright market is tight but Wales’ home advantage is enough to see them priced up as the favourites for this Friday night clash. Ryan Giggs’ side have beaten Ireland twice in recent months and they’ll be confident coming into this clash. They are 17/10 to win this game but Denmark won’t make it easy for them. The Danes are a tough nut to crack and can be backed at 19/10. Our tipster has opted for the draw and that can be backed at 11/5.

The bookies are expecting a low-scoring game with Under 2.5 Goals available at 1/2 and Under 1.5 Goals may be more tempting at around 13/8. For those who fancy an action-packed 90 minutes, Over 2.5 Goals is available at 6/4. Both Teams to Score is priced at 11/10 and that could be tempting here.

The returning Gareth Bale is priced up as the favourite in the first goalscorer market and can be backed at 15/4. The Real Madrid man has been in decent form in La Liga this season and is a tempting proposition for many punters here. Team-mate Sam Vokes is available at 5/1 whilst Nicolai Jorgensen is the shortest-price Dane at around 13/2.
