Arsenal vs Cardiff Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview: Premier League

Arsenal predictions

Arsenal vs Cardiff predictions and betting tips for this week’s Premier League fixture on Tuesday 29th January. After the tragedy of last, Cardiff City will be hoping for a turn around in fortunes on the pitch but face a tricky test at the Emirates Stadium.

Cardiff are managing to grind out points in matches but still find themselves in the relegation zone, two points adrift of safety. The Gunners were dumped out the FA Cup by Manchester United on Friday but should get back to winning ways with a win here.

Arsenal vs Cardiff Predictions

The hosts are short priced favourites to win this match and it is not hard to see why. They are strong at home, especially in the league, and will want to get back into the race for fourth as soon as possible. The recent losses to West Ham and Manchester United have started to bring back horrible recent memories for Arsenal fans, but Unai Emery has certainly improved them from last season even though they could miss out on a top four place again.

Cardiff have had a terrible week with the news of Emiliano Sala’s tragic passing before he had even kicked a ball for the club but they ahve been struggling on the pitch of late, failing to score in their last four matches and only finding the net once in their last four away. With that in mind, the first of this week’s Arsenal vs Cardiff predictions is for Arsenal to win the match to nil.

Arsenal vs Cardiff First Goalscorer Betting Tip

The Gunners are one of the few sides in the Premier League with two top class centre forwards in their squad – but with both Aubameyang and Lacazette, Unai Emery has the constant task of trying to fit them both into his starting line-up. Aubameyang is always the shorter odds in the first goalscorer odds, but we’re going with Lacazette for our first scorer tip here. The Frenchman has scored two in his last three Premier League outings and when the paid are selected in the starting line-up, it is often Lacazette who gets the job through the middle.

Aubameyang is only 11/4 to score first so we’re siding with Lacazette to score first as the second of our Arsenal vs Cardiff City predictions for this weeks fixture.

Arsenal vs Cardiff Correct Score Predictions

As we’re already betting on an Arsenal win to nil here, it makes our correct score selection slightly more straight forward. As mentioned above, Cardiff haven’t managed to score in three of their last four matches and the Gunners are usually winners at the Emirates. We’re going for a 2-0 home win in this match to complete our Arsenal vs Cardiff betting tips. The Welsh side don’t tend to concede a lot of goals per match because of their defensive style.

Arsenal vs Cardiff Match Preview

Arsenal to win – 1/4 with Coral.

Draw – 5/1.

Cardiff to win – 12/1.

It is no surprise to see the bookies favouring an Arsenal win this strongly. The Gunners haven’t lost a home league match since the first game of the season against Manchester City – and since then they have won nine and drawn two. Cardiff have failed to score in seven of their 11 away league matches this season but pick up four points in consecutive away fixtures against Leicester and Crystal Palace recently.
