Golf Betting Tips – Tournament of Champions 2021 Predictions for Win and Each-Way Bets

Patrick Reed

The first event of the PGA Tour is here and we head to the regular-season opener in Hawaii for our Tournament of Champions betting tips.

The Plantation Course at Kapalua is the venue and its a long wide-open layout that provides players with plenty of birdie opportunities.

We’re back with our golf betting tips for the new season and hopefully, this time around the schedule is not as interrupted as 2020. We finished last season on a high by correctly tipping Dustin Johnson to win the US Masters.

Bryson Dechambeau – 11/1 with William Hill (win).

My first selection is BRYSON DECHAMBEAU. I’m sure 99% of the field would have taken more time away from golf over the festive period than Bryson who was continuing to try and increase his ball speed in a bid to hit the ball ever further.

Therefore, he is going to be less rusty than many lining up here this week. The course is going to suit his new game down to the ground, hit it high and watch it fly.

There is plenty of par fives on this layout along with some short par 4s so you’d expect Bryson to make tons of birdies giving he’ll be expecting to be putting for eagle on a few occasions each day.

His putting is certainly no weakness either and that is backed up in the stats. He’ll be wanting to start the 2021 campaign strong and I expect him to do just that.

Cameron Champ – 55/1 with bet365 (each-way)

My next selection is CAMERON CHAMP. Another player who will thrive on a course like this giving his power off the tee.

He has played here for the last two years where he has finished 14th and 11th. They are two solid efforts and now he knows the course a lot better, I think he can improve again round here and challenge for victory. He appears to be getting better and better each year and I think he is set for a big 2021.

Lanto Griffin – 125/1 with bet365 (each-way)

My final selection this week is LANTO GRIFFIN 125/1 EW (BET365 1/5 1,2,3,4,5). Lanto Griffin is a name unfamiliar to many casual golf fans but I don’t think that’ll be the case for long. He made his debut here last year finishing 13th which was an encouraging first effort round this unique layout. His putting is his strength and he can put that to good effect around here given the length and width of Kapalua’s greens. The wind can often blow here in Hawaii too and Griffin won the Houston Open in 2020 in the wind so that can only be a positive in my book. Easily the best bet of the bigger prices for me this week.
