Redcar 2:40: Sam Hall Memorial Handicap 1m6f

A competitive Class 4 Handicap between 6-runners, all of whom have a chance. Big Boy Bobby needs respect for a string of consistent efforts, although there are doubts he will get 1m6f, whilst Arctic Fox has gone close over distances between 1m 4f – 2m on his last four starts. However, Mr Curiosity was a very good 3rd when tried at today’s trip at Chester in September and goes off 1lb lower today so can build on that run.

Selection: Mr Curiosity (9/4 with bet365)

Redcar 4.25: Every Race Live On Racing TV Novice Stakes 6f

The well-bred Cape Sunset showed plenty of promise with a debut 3rd at Windsor in May and sets the standard on his return after 137 days. Despite a slow start, he got into his stride, going third in the final 110yds and was keeping on before the line. The winner that day, Boomshalaa, has since gone on to win again. Cape Sunset’s main rival is likely to be Bakr who won at Kempton in January and returns after a long break for another new yard.

Selection: Cape Sunset (6/5 with bet365)

Haydock 2.55: Casumo Horse Racing And Sports Betting EBF Novice Stakes 1m37y

Although Charlie Appleby’s runner, Mythical Dancer, is likely to go off as favourite under the ride of William Buick after winning on debut at Thirsk, he could be vulnerable to Paradias who goes off 6lb lower. The selection has ran two good races at Sandown and Newbury, and could take advantage of the weight difference with James Doyle on board. Possible danger could also come from Mandobi who goes on debut for William Haggas and is a half-brother to three-time winner, Iffraaj.

Selection: Paradias (4/1 with bet365)

Fakenham 3:23: Watch Fakenham Replays On attheraces.com Novices’ Handicap Hurdle 2m4f

Jumping Cats was an impressive winner at Fontwell earlier in the month but might struggle with a hefty rise in the weights, up against the in-form selection, Midnight Jewel. The Charlie Longsdon trained 5-year-old won with plenty in hand last time out at Huntingdon to win by 9-lengths and remains 3lb well in as he attempts to land a fourth win in five races. Tom Buckley once again takes the ride as this red-hot team hope to add to wins already achieved since August at Market Rasen, Fontwell, and Huntingdon.

Selection: Midnight Jewel (10/11 with bet365)

Uttoxeter 3:40: May And Jacobs Handicap Chase 3m

The Fergal O’Brien runner, No No Maestro, goes for the hat-trick after recent wins at Hexham in August over 2m4f, and a C&D win July. Although both wins were narrow, as he doesn’t make life easy for himself, he showed great attitude on both occasions and has Paddy Brennan back in the saddle again for the three-timer. Colours Of My Life could be the main danger as he goes on his Chase and Handicap debut for the in-form Skelton team.

Selection: No No Maestro (6/4 with Paddy Power)
