Horse Racing Tips: Four Best Bets at Cheltenham & Fontwell on Sunday
The November Meeting at Cheltenham continues on Sunday, while the Southern National is the feature race on a competitive Fontwell card.
We suspect that Irish eyes may be smiling, once again, at Prestbury Park.

Cheltenham: 1:10 Mallardjewellers.com Novices’ Chase 3m80y
A fascinating rematch between Does He Know and Threeunderthrufive, who finished first and second in a novices’ chase at Chepstow on their respective debuts over regulation fences in October. Does He Know, who followed up over course and distance two weeks later, holds a clear advantage on that piece of form so, while Threeunderthrufive won in taking style at Exeter 12 days ago, he may be capable of completing a hat-trick.
Selection: Does He Know (5/2 with William Hill)
Cheltenham: 2:55 Unibet Greatwood Handicap Hurdle 2m87y
Co. Meath trainer Noel Meade has saddled just one winner on British soil in the last five years, but there is plenty to like about his 5-year-old Jesse Evans, who finished a close fourth in the valuable Galway Hurdle on his most recent start over obstacles. The So You Think gelding has since run well on the Flat, shedding his maiden tag at Navan last month and, with Eoin Walsh taking off 5lb, looks to have bright prospects here.
Selection: Jesse Evans (10/1 with 888Sport)
Fontwell: 3:10 Oberon Investments Southern National Handicap Chase 3m3f149y
Gleno may not always be the most fluent of jumpers and has yet to win beyond 3 miles, but appears attractively weighted and can strike another blow for his in-form yard. He should strip fitter for his reappearance at Exeter last month and can race off the same handicap mark as when edging out Petite Power at Chepstow in the spring. Three of his four career wins have come on the prevailing good going.
Selection: Gleno (13/2 with Paddy Power)
Fontwell: 3:43 Oberon Investments Salmon Spray Handicap Hurdle 2m1f162y
Quinto Do Mar has improved since joining Ben Pauling at this time last year and was always travelling strongly when winning on his reappearance at Carlisle last month. A 9lb rise in the weights demands more, but the son of Califet remains open to further improvement after just six starts under rules, so looks the one to be on.
Selection: Quinto Do Mar (3/1 with William Hill)
