After a tough night for accumulator betting last night, we are going full steam ahead into the Wednesday fixtures and also take a quick look at some of the European games where there could be value to be had in an acca bet.
There are a lot of short priced favourites tonight and after Manchester City's shock defeat last night, we will be betting with caution on the short priced teams tonight.
Manchester United are just 1/2 (Coral) to beat Newcastle tonight and that isn't a price that appeals to us given the League Cup is way down Sir Alex Fergusons priorities, and probably much higher on the agenda for Alan Pardew. Newcastle's squad is injury hit but they will go to Old Trafford and give it a real go against a weakened United side. Avoid this one, just incase.
Norwich (53/100 with You Win) have a real potential banana skin in the form of Doncaster at Carrow Road. Donny beat Championship side Hull City in the last round and given Norwich's shakey start to the season, they will probably rest a number of their first team taking into account their opponents are two divisions below, however a 4-1 home thrasing at home to MK Dons at this stage last season could be a decent form line to look at so there could be an upset here.
The likes of Arsenal and Tottenham should progress given the strength and depth of their squads, Arsenal will have no trouble against Coventry but are probably too short to add any real value to an accumulator bet anyway, and Spurs' price of 1/2 is based on the fact they are away to Carlisle.
Taking a quick look at Europe, AC Milan are 8/13. mainly based on the fact they are AC Milan. The side are in turmoil once again and have only won once this season. They have already lost at the San Siro to Atalanta and Sampdoria and they are certainly one to avoid in your accumulators tonight.
One Italian team we will be siding with tonight are Napoli (17/16 with Pinnacle). They are in fine form and although the same can be said about opponents Lazio, Napoli are at home and have won all three games so far including a 4-0 Europa League win and 3-1 and 2-1 Serie A victories. Lazio have also made a flying start and have won both away matches so far.
