Bookies Struggling to Split Front Three in the Premier League Betting

Ahead of the new Premier League season the bookies are struggling to split, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United in the outright betting.

As we stand, Manchester City are the marginal favourites at a best price 23/10, Chelsea are available at 5/2 and Manchester United, who started as favourites, are now a 13/5 shot.

Jose Mourinho is back at Stamford Bridge and he will be looking to return to the successful Chelsea football philosophy he brought during his first successful tenure as manager. That reign ended because of a breakdown with owner Roman Abramovich but if the pair can rekindle their working relationship Chelsea must be considered as a serious title contender this season.

When Mourinho was unveiled as the Chelsea manager for the second time he said, "We're back together … a great moment for us both. I think we're ready to marry again and be happy & successful.

"I’m much more mature with a different approach to things, I’m more ready to be in a club and stay for a long time."

That stability is exactly what Chelsea could need from their new manager but with all three title challengers under new management it could be a season full of twists and turns, with all events throughout the season potential proving a crucial turning point in the race for the Premier League title.

Manchester City are the team that have strengthened the most in the transfer window with the likes of Negrado, Jovetic, Fernandinho and Jesus Navas coming into Pellegrini’s new look City side while Manchester United have been the most sedate of the three although they are sure to add to their squad before the big kick off on August 17th.

Chelsea have to be taken seriously as title contenders once more this season and if Mournho can get Fernando Torres firing, or bring in a world class center forward, then the Premier League outright betting picture is set to change again.

Expect many twists and turns this Premier League season, and that’s even before a ball has been kicked!
