Ahead of this weekend’s Saturday afternoon football fixtures, OB has been through the 3pm kick-offs and picked out his usual 3 selections, with one coming from the Premier League and two in League One. There are two teams to win including a bet on the Brighton vs Chelsea match where Graham Potter is going back to his old club for the first time and then a bet on Bolton to stretch their unbeaten run and beat Oxford. The final leg of the weekend football tip is a bet on the handicap markets and we’re off to Sheffield as Sheff Wed are predicted to beat Burton by at least a couple of goals. We’re using William Hill to bet on this treble as they are the best odds of any bookies and if you open a new William Hill account and bet £10, you get £30 in free bets added to your account. There will also be William Hill World Cup betting offers to get stuck into throughout the tournament in Qatar.Chelsea to win 29/20 (away to Brighton)
I don’t often tip games in the Premier League but I believe Chelsea are too big here. Brighton is no easy place to go to and collect 3 points but I fancy Chelsea to give manager Graham Potter a winning return to Brighton here. Chelsea were the best they have been on the eye attacking wise on Tuesday night in Austria and I believe they can take that into this game here. Brighton being fresh from a midweek break will be a huge benefit to them but I think Potter will know what’s coming his way with this Brighton team and will set them up perfectly. Brighton have only scored 1 in their last 4 (albeit at Man City) and with Chelsea conceding for the first time in 6 games last weekend, I think we are in for a low scoring game. But I believe it’s a low scoring game that will just go the way of the away teamBolton to win 11/10 (home to Oxford)
Bolton have been a bit inconsistent over the last few weeks but I’m happy to be backing them at odds against, against an Oxford side that have really struggled so far this season. Oxford are not having the season they would have hoped for and tensions seem to be at boiling point for players and staff. Karl Robinson’s 4th booking of the season will see him having to watch his sides match form the stands with a 1 man touchline ban to be served. Oxford went down to 10 men for the 2nd game in a row with the sending-off of Billy Bodin in midweek. There’s something just not right with Oxford at the moment and even though Bolton have let us down before this season, I’m willing to give them 1 more chance and win here. Their home form is still impressive and I would hope Bolton are too strong for Oxford on SaturdaySheffield Wednesday -1 handicap 5/4 (home to Burton)
Sheffield Wednesday have a fabulous home record in 2022 and I fancy them on the handicap here. Frustrated in midweek by a resilient Bristol Rovers side who had keeper James Belshaw to thank for 6 saves, I think Wednesday bounce back here and take that frustration out on a recently improved Burton. Burton were unfortunate to go down to a late Bolton winner on Tuesday night which would have hurt. That defeat ended a mini-revival for the relegation-threatened side which saw them pick up 5 points from their 3 previous games. Even though Burton have picked up and Wednesday have only won 2 of their last 5 I think there’s still a big enough gap between these sides to back Wednesday to win on the -1 handicap. I think normal service of Wednesday winning home matches resumes on Saturday and I expect a few goals here. How to claim the William Hill free bets:
