The North London Derby rarely disappoints for the neutral. Both sides come into this one off the back of disappointing defeats. Arsenal were picked apart by a clinical Liverpool side, with Mo Salah the main protagonist in Arsenal’s dismantling. The Gunners had chances, but never looked like taking anything from the game.
Spurs faced Newcastle after their unlikely point against Manchester City. Tottenham weren’t so fortunate this time around with Newcastle opening the scoring through a well-timed run and finish from Joelinton. Tottenham were unable to break down the Toon defence and were denied a possible penalty in their pursuit of a win.
Arsenal have the home advantage in this one which could give them the edge. Their performances have been marginally better so far, and the creativity of Dani Ceballos could prove to be the difference. The Eriksen saga remains ongoing, which won’t help Tottenham’s cause.
Harry Kane has an excellent record against Arsenal, having scored nine in nine in the league. Last season’s North London Derby at the Emirates ended 4-2 to the hosts and we predict another high scoring encounter. Over 3.5 goals is priced at 6/4.
With each side featuring top talent going forward it is easy to see goals for both teams. What’s more, neither defence has looked comfortable in the early stages of the campaign. Arsenal have failed to keep out Burnley and Liverpool whilst Tottenham have conceded to Aston Villa, Manchester City and Newcastle. Both teams to score looks likely for this one and is priced at 1/2.
Arsenal to win – 13/10
Draw – 13/5
Tottenham to win – 19/10
