This Saturday we kick off early in the midlands as Aston Villa take on Chelsea, with both teams on the verge of achieving their seasons goals. Albeit at different ends of the table.
Lets not forget when these two teams met in December last year Chelsea won somewhat comfortably at 8-0 they also could afford to miss penalty in this match too. This weekend over 4.5 goals is a massive 19/4 with Bet Victor.
Aston Villa have been in good form recently, winning 5 of their last 8 games, drawing 1 and loosing 2. Those 2 defeats came away at Manchester United and at home against Liverpool, so no disgrace there and their recent run is certainly not relegation form.
Their last home game seen them rip Sunderland to pieces winning 6-1 a massive boost to a team in their situation. However their home form is inconsistent at best, their home form since the turn of the year reads WLWLWLWLDW. As you can see they have not followed up a home win with any kind of result this year, in fact they haven't had back to back home wins in the league in over 2 1/2 years.
Chelsea will be disappointed not to have secured their champions league spot already this season after letting spurs snatch a draw at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night having led in the game twice. Chelsea are unbeaten in 7 games, winning 5 & drawing 2. However their away form this year in the league has declined, since the new year they have lost 3 and drawn 2 & won 3 of their 8 away games, the most recent however coming against the Champions at Old Trafford. Compared to December last year when they won 4 away games in a month!
After Wigan's Failure on Tuesday night Villa should be all but safe now, however they will not want to take the risk of dropping any more points if they can help it. Chelsea will only have only had 2 full days to recover from a hard match against Spurs in midweek whereas Villa have had a full week since last weekends win over Norwich. I think Villa will be right up for this as their last home game of the season and with Chelsea being fatigued and with the Europa League final coming up in 6 days Rafa is bound to be up to his old rotation tricks once again.
I quite fancy Villa to get a result, backing them as double chance with bet365 is evens or for the win (if you're braver than me) is 4/1 also with Bet365.
Both teams score and concede a lot of goals recently – Chelsea have only kept four clean sheets in 12 games and Villa have not kept a clean sheet since December. Villa have scored 19 in their last 10 (bear in mind the Sunderland result) and Chelsea have scored 20 in their last 10 games. Both teams to score and the overs markets are a must in this game
