Liverpool travel to Villa Park on Easter Sunday to take on the relegation threatened Villains in what promises to be a high scoring encounter.
Villa will be desperate for any kind of result as they currently sit one place above the relegation zone with a three point cushion over Wigan. The Latics play Norwich on Saturday, and should they win, then Villa will find themselves in the relegation zone come KO.
Liverpool are trying to make sure that their European campaign next season consists of more than a jaunt to Swansea so will also looking to take all three points. They have flattered to deceive this season, throwing in results such as beating Spurs at home to being spanked by Southampton away but one thing you can count on with Liverpool are goals.
In their away matches so far this season, there has been over 2.5 goals in 80% of their fixtures. Both teams have bagged in seven of the last eight Aston Villa games which means that all stats point towards both teams scoring at 4/6 (William Hill).
Whilst the percentage call is Over 2.5 goals, the odds on quotes don’t appeal, especially as for one more goal we can get an attractive 2/1 with William Hill for there being Over 3.5 goals.
We’ll also take their respective leading scorers to score with their boots in 90 minutes with ‘Christian Benteke and Luis Suarez to score at anytime’ at 9/2, again with William Hill.
