PREMIER LEAGUE: Aston Villa vs Manchester City Bet Builder Tip and Predictions
The FA Cup semi-final teams are playing catch-up this week and Manchester City travel to Aston Villa on Wednesday looking to go one step closer to regaining their Premier League title.
Guardiola’s side can no longer win the quadruple after getting knocked out of the FA Cup by Chelsea on Saturday, but this is another important week for his side, with this game against Villa, the League Cup final against Tottenham and then the first leg of their Champions League semi-final against PSG all within the space of seven days.
Aston Villa are still within a shout of getting European football next season but they will probably need to win this or their other game in hand against Everton to achieve that.

A bet builder with bet365 allows you can combine a number of outcomes from the same match into one bet, such as anytime goalscorer, bookings, total corners, over/under goals, and a team to win.
Player to Score: Phil Foden
Foden has really come of age this season and has been amongst the goals for Manchester City. With Kevin De Bruyne out injured, the youngster is likely to be in the starting line-up and he performed really well when De Bruyne was missing earlier in the season. He was on the bench in the FA Cup semi-final so Pep’s rotation would suggest he will start here an he has two goals in his last four matches.
Player to Score: Ollie Watkins
Another young English player having a good season is Ollie Watkins. He’s scored 12 times in the Premier League so far and has found the net in Villa’s last two matches, against both Liverpool and Fulham. Manchester City’s defence looked water tight for a number of weeks but they’ve conceded in their last four games in all competitions now and Villa’s attacking style which has served them well so far, could see them get a few chances against a City side who will have one eye on the Champions League semi-final next week.
Corners: Over 9 in the match for both teams combined
I’m predicting an open game here with both sides looking to attack and that should mean a lot of goal mouth action, and therefore a lot of corners. In City’s match against Leeds they manged 9 corners and there were 12 in total, so something similar here would be the hope. Villa conceded seven corners at Anfield last time out.
Aston Villa vs Man City Bet Builder Tip
- Phil Foden to score
- Ollie Watkins to score
- Over 9 corners in the match
