Barcelona vs Valencia Score Prediction

Barcelona will be looking to collect a fifth straight Copa Del Rey title when they play Valencia in Seville this weekend, and it is hard to see how the Blaugrana won’t be able to find their way past Valencia this weekend.

They were dominant in La Liga this season and have had a strangle hold on the Copa Del Rey in recent seasons. 12 months ago they were relentless in beating Sevilla 5-0 in the final, and during this campaign they’ve beaten the same opponents 6-1.

You’ll get odds of 1/2 for Barcelona winning this match in 90 minutes and that’s certainly a bet for your weekend accumulators.

Barcelona vs Valencia Odds

Barcelona to win – 1/2

Draw – 33/10

Valencia to win – 19/4

It is no surprise to see Barcelona the strong favourites to win the Spanish Cup, in fact, you’ll only get odds of 1/4 for them in the ‘to lift the trophy’ market. Valencia are 3/1. It has been another dominant season domestically for Barca, and they are scoring goals for fun. Five of their seven matches in this competition have seen over 2.5 goals including a 6-1 win over Sevilla and 3-0 away win over rivals Real Madrid in the semi-final second leg. The odds for over 2.5 goals in this Copa Del Rey final are 8/15 or it’s 5/4 for over 3.5 goals.

Valencia finished the season in fourth place in La Liga and will be playing Champions League football next season. We’re not expecting them to be total pushovers in the final, but their odds of 19/4 to win tell you how the bookies see this one going. We do however, predict that Valencia will get on the scoresheet in Seville. They’ve only failed to score once in their last eight games in the competition this season and have scored in 10 of their last 11 in all competitions. You’ll get odds of 4/7 with 888Sport for both teams to score but our first prediction is Barcelona to win and BTTS, at odds of 9/5.

Barcelona Team News vs Valencia

Luis Suarez will be missing for Valverde’s side following knee surgery and there are doubts over the trio of Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Arthur.

Nelson Semedo picked up a head injury in Barcelona’s 2-2 draw with Eibar on the last day of the season but he’s likely to be fit enough to play some part.

Goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen missed their last game of the season with a knock but Valverde expected the German to be back in the starting 11 for this game.

Lionel Messi has played in eight Copa Del Rey finals and scored in six of them, so he’ll be hoping to add to that tally this weekend.

Valencia Team News vs Barcelona

Valencia are likely to be without centre back Ezequiel Garay for the final – he’s missed their last two matches with a hamstring injury and it’s unlikely he’ll be back in-time to start the match.

Russian winger Denis Cheryshev is also missing and has been since last month due to a ligament injury.

Santa Mina and Rodrigo both have four Copa Del Rey goals to their name already this season and they’ll be hoping to add to them in the final this weekend.
