Brazil play France in a friendly tonight in search of some form ahead of the 2013 Confederations Cup starting next weekend.

In the latest betting odds for the match, Brazil are favourites at 4/6 with William Hill, the draw is 3/1 at Coral and France are 9/2 with Bet365.

Brazil have still not found the right balance in their national side and with the Confederations Cup just around the corner, tonight is their last chance to prepare for the World Cup 2014 dress rehearsal.

A 2-2 draw against England was disappointing for the locals and manager Scolari came under fire for his substitutions, that draw took Brazil’s recent run to one win in six matches (four draws).

France have lost three of their last four matches including a 1-0 defeat in Uruguay last week but their young squad on this mini-tour of South America will come on a lot for the experience and cannot be discounted against Brazil here. France’s recent defeats have come against Uruguay, Spain and Germany but they have beaten Italy and drawn with Spain away from home in two of their last three.

Looking at the betting for tonight a draw could be the way to go once again given Brazil’s seeming inability to finish teams off in recent matches.  The draw is 3/1 at Coral, alternatively the half-time draw is 5/4 with Ladbrokes.

In the goalscoring odds, there are plenty of options but new Barcelona man Neymar could be the one to take tonight, he opted for a shoot on sight policy against England and his desire to score rather than pass will eventually pay off. He is a best price 9/2 to score first in the betting tonight with Coral.
