Blackburn v Swansea Betting Tips in the FA Cup
Football betting tips for Blackburn v Swansea with predictions and a betting preview for Saturday’s televised FA Cup tie.
Blackburn v Swansea Preview
It’s Championship vs Premier League in the first FA Cup game of Saturday 24th January and we have free football betting tips. Swansea are coming off the back of a 5-0 tonking against leaders Chelsea whilst Blackburn got a hard earned point against relegation threatened Wigan.
The Lancastrians were a formidable force at home until a few weeks ago when they lost at Ewood Park to Sheffield Wednesday and then Wolves. They will want to bounce back and Gary Bowyer will want his side in the 5th round draw.
Both sides should take this game seriously and they will almost certainly play full strength teams.
Swansea are poor on the road and have only won twice this season away from the Liberty. I think they may come unstuck against the Championship side. The unsettling of striker Rudy Gestede may play into the Welsh side’s hands however as the big French marksman has been linked with a 4m move to Crystal Palace this week.
Blackburn v Swansea Betting Tips
Weighing up the options, the draw may be the pick of the results with Blackburn not being the strength of old on their own patch and Swansea’s questionable away form.
5/2 for the draw with Bet365 is my first Blackburn v Swansea betting tip.
As previously mentioned, Rudy Gestede has been linked with a move away from the North West and if he isn’t in the squad, the onus falls on Jordan Rhodes to score the majority of goals. Chris Brown and Luke Varney aren’t consistent enough and the former Huddersfield hit man could struggle with the burden unless another striker is sought.
Swansea, without the goals of Wilfried Bony have a top scorer of Gylfi Sigurdsson with just 4 goals. Neither side are convincing in front of goal at the moment whilst Swansea have only scored 10 goals in 10 away games this season.
Under 2.5 goals in my next selection 10/11 Ladbrokes and looks a solid FA Cup betting tip for this weekend.
Bafetimbi Gomis is many Swansea’s fans hope to replace the outgoing Ivorian and he has looked capable of firing Swansea up the table this year. The Frenchman has scored twice in this competition although that was against lowly and then out-of-form Tranmere. He should cause trouble for the Blackburn defence during the 90 minutes.
Bafetimbi Gomis is 5/1 to score first against Blackburn with Sky Bet.
