This Serie A fixture will be played in a typical end-of-season fashion with both sides looking forward to a final fixture in the sunshine. Bologna are safe, and they owe an enormous debt to Sinisa Mihajlovic, who has overseen just two defeats in eleven games. The former Torino boss has been linked with other clubs, and it remains to be seen whether he remains in northern Italy next season.
Bologna have been allowed to play with added freedom and creativity since he took over, and it’s resulted in some memorable games both home and away. They secured their position in the league courtesy of a 3-3 draw at Lazio. It was a topsy-turvy game which thrilled the neutral, and we could be in for another entertaining 90 minutes here.
Bologna will attack throughout this game despite having safety assured. They will also be helped by Napoli’s list of absentees here, which includes Kalidou Koulibaly and Allan. Neither will be eligible to play in this fixture, and Carlo Ancelotti will be forced to shuffle his pack as a result.
There is the general consensus that Napoli have not quite hit top gear at any point this season, but their 4-1 victory over Inter was a sign that they could genuinely challenge next season. Ancelotti will need to recruit sensibly over the course of the summer, and there is bound to be plenty of interest in his players, but they will need to make a faster start in August.
Napoli have given Bologna some hefty beatings over the last few seasons, but they only just crept past them earlier in the campaign with a 3-2 victory. It’s never easy coming to Stadio Dall’Ara, and Bologna have won five in a row here. Although the opposition has been weaker, they’ve demolished Empoli, Parma, Chievo and Sampdoria here.
The Partenopei have only kept one clean sheet in their last five away games, and are far from secure on the road, but you’d also have to fancy them to find the back of the net at least once here.
Over 3.5 Goals looks like a decent option in this game, and it’s 13/10 with 888Sport for it to land once again. It’s the first of our Bologna vs Napoli betting tips for Saturday night.
Dries Mertens has been excellent in recent weeks, but we’re going to opt for a Bologna player who has certainly made an impression in recent weeks. Riccardo Orsolini has scored ten times this season, but he’s now netted four in his last five.
Six of those ten goals have arrived at home, and he appears to be in decent goalscoring form. Nicola Sansone returns to the side following suspension, and the pair of them could cause plenty of problems for the visitors.
Riccardo Orsolini to score anytime is the second of our Bologna vs Napoli betting tips for Saturday, and he is 16/5 with Betfair. They are offering all new customers £100 in free bets to use on this weekend’s fixtures.

Napoli’s games in recent weeks have tended to follow a certain pattern. Ancelotti’s men have kept things reasonably tight prior to the break, and nicked the occasional goal here and there, before letting the game open up in the second 45.
Five of their last six games have seen the second half produce far more goals. Three of their four goals against Inter came after the interval, whilst they also scored twice after the break to secure three points against SPAL.
With Bologna’s ability going forward, it could be an entertaining second period for the fans, and Over 1.5 Second Half Goals is highly likely to land.
Napoli Win – 8/11
Draw – 16/5
Bologna Win – 10/3
