It has been a crazy ride for Tottenham over the last few weeks. From opening their new stadium, reaching the semi final of the Champions League to losing their last two games against West Ham and Ajax. This is a real tough patch for Spurs as they have lots of games in a short amount of time. With the big semi final away leg coming up on Wednesday night, it is expected that they will rest a few players against Bournemouth.
Bournemouth have been the definition of inconsistent recently. Their last three results have been a 5-0 win away at Brighton, a 1-0 loss at home to Fulham and a 3-3 draw away at Southampton. It is undisputed that they are one of the most exciting teams in the league, with their attacking style of play. This does however leave them vulnerable at the back, as they saw last week.
It was fairly obvious that the Tottenham players were tired on Tuesday against Ajax. Without star players Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, they had to adapt to a different style. However, their fatigue did show and they suffered as a result. Spurs have not bought a single player in this season and it has seemed to have come back to bite them as they are not able to rotate as much as they would like. A player who will be fairly fresh is Son as he played no part on Tuesday due to being suspended but that might not be enough for three points here, with Ajax the focus. The first of our Bournemouth vs Tottenham predictions is for the match to end a draw and the odds for this are 57/20 with Novibet.
Callum Wilson was back in goalscoring form last time out, scoring twice in the south coast derby. He has now scored 15 goals in all competitions. He wouldn’t have quite as many goals as he does now without the help of Ryan Fraser who moved joint top of the assist table with 13 after grabbing another one against Southampton. It might be worth having a punt on Callum Wilson to have 2+ shots on target in this one.
After missing out midweek, I expect Son to start this game and carry on the great form he has been showing of recent. Therefore, my other Bournemouth vs Tottenham tip for this game is for Son to score anytime which you can get at 17/10 with Novibet.
As I mentioned earlier, the team that Tottenham put out for this game may not be their strongest XI and the players that are picked may be tired. They still have a job to do however. Even if the battle for top four has consisted of a lot of losses and draws from the teams fighting, any slip up could be critical at this stage. If Spurs fail to pick up three points here, the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United will be waiting to pounce.
I am predicting Spurs to drop points here. I feel that they will have too much of their mind on the midweek game and pick up a 1-1 draw. This does also depend on what Bournemouth team decides to turn up. You can get a 1-1 draw at 7/1 with Bet Victor.
