Brescia vs Fiorentina Prediction & Betting Tips: High-Scoring Monday Night Contest in Serie A
Brescia end a three-week wait to return to action with a home game against in-form Fiorentina. Can Mario Balotelli’s side stop the Viola’s momentum on Monday? We’ve picked out two betting tips from this Serie A contest at Stadio Mario Rigamonti.

Brescia vs Fiorentina Preview – 21/10/2019 Serie A
Brescia sit in 16th position and are yet to pick up a home victory. Admittedly, they’ve fairly competitive in both of those games and have found the net four times in 180 minutes of football here. Eugenio Corini has got his side competing and they’ve lost narrowly to both Napoli and Juventus in recent weeks and he’s had three weeks to prepare for this tie. Their tie against Sassuolo was called off prior to the International Break which means they are yet to play in October.
Both of Brescia’s wins have come on the road and they won 1-0 in each of those outings. This is just their third home game and the fans will be desperate to see their side pick up three points here.
Fiorentina have been excellent in recent weeks and the memory of their 18-game winless streak is diminishing by the second. Franck Ribery has had a positive influence on the squad and the Frenchman will have benefitted from the rest period last weekend. He’s been teaming up well with Federico Chiesa, who has been cleared to play this match after an injury scare last weekend.
The Viola have won three in a row and have scored six times in those matches. They’ve clearly clicked in the final third and they’ll be expected to pick up three points in this one. Gaetano Castrovilli has also caught the eye in recent weeks and he got his first Serie A goal against Milan at the end of September.
Shot Happy Visitors
Fiorentina have started to attack in numbers under Vincenzo Montella and they are averaging 16.4 shots per match. Only six teams have had more shots than the Viola this season and they should be able to register a few more this evening.
Federico Chiesa is averaging 5.1 shots per game and he is likely to have a few efforts in this tie. The Italian International is 15/8 with Betfred to score anytime in this fixture and although he’s only netted twice so far this season, he’s clearly not shy about having a go.
Defensive Problems for the Hosts
Although Mario Balotelli’s fitness is gradually increasing, Eugenio Corini will have been concentrating on matters at the other end of the field. The hosts conceded four times in their opening home match vs Bologna although they were a bit better against Juventus.
Their only two clean sheets have come when they’ve kept a clean sheet and they only seem to be able to pick up three points when they keep the opposition off the scoresheet.
