Brighton v Millwall Betting Tips, Prediction and Preview
Football betting tips for Brighton v Millwall in the Championship on Friday 12th December.
Sami Hyppia’s side will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 hammering by Derby whilst the away side were on the wrong end of a 5-1 mauling by Middlesbrough. Whilst the aforementioned Derby and Middlesbrough battle it out on Saturday at the right end of the table, these two sides will look to put some distance between themselves and the rest of the relegation pack.
Brighton v Millwall Prediction:
Neither of these sides are playing with any confidence at the moment and neither are free scoring so this match could be a low scoring affair and that is the basis for our Brighton v Millwall football betting tips. The statistic that stands out is that Millwall have drawn 4 of their last 5 away games in the league whilst 3 of the last 5 matches between these sides have also ended all square.
It is difficult to see which of these sides will take the game by the scruff of the neck and grab 3 points.
The draw is available at 13/5 with Coral and looks the best selection of the three for this game. Both sides are desperately scrapping for points, but I can’t see more than 1 each during these 90 minutes.
For our first football betting tip on Friday night bet on the draw 13/5 Coral.

Although neither of these sides have been prolific over the past few weeks, there has been plenty of goals in the games involving these teams. Perhaps it’s because of the generous nature of their respective defences. I don’t think that will be the case here. Ian Holloway’s side do play expansive football and do attack in numbers, but this game may quite turgid. Poor weather conditions may also play their part and I can see it being scrappy and low scoring.
Our next Brighton v Millwall betting tip is under 2.5 goals and the best odds are 4/6 with Betfred.
Betfred’s sign-up offer: get double the odds for your first bet, plus a £25 refund if it loses – get this offer here.
Picking a first goalscorer betting tip is difficult for this match, but Darren Bent is favourite in the betting and his Premier League predatory instincts suggest he can take advantage of any poor defending that Millwall may offer. He scored in his opening game against Fulham, a side who have also had problems at the back and he could double his goal tally in front of the home crowd.
Our last Brighton v Millwall prediction is for Darren Bent to score first at 5/1 with William Hill.
