Blackburn vs Leeds Predictions

The first of our Championship predictions for Saturday lunchtime comes from Ewood Park as Blackburn tackle high-flying Leeds. The visitors have been very effective this season and have only been defeated once so far. Away from home, they’ve been very effective and remain unbeaten. Marcelo Bielsa’s style is eye-catching but he has endured his fair share of injuries in the last month and his side have dropped off as a result. They struggled at times against Brentford but got away with a point. The Whites netted 13 times in their opening five Championship matches but they’ve fired just eight in their subsequent seven fixtures. They’re still creating chances and Tyler Roberts has been an excellent replacement for the stricken Kemar Roofe. Blackburn have enjoyed a decent return to the Championship and have been defeated just twice this campaign. Sheffield United are the only side who have come here and taken home all three points so far and I can’t see Leeds adding their name to that list. Rovers can welcome back a number of players who have been sidelined in recent weeks and should be hugely competitive under the affable Tony Mowbray. The North Westerners have a habit of drawing home matches and have been unable to finish off Villa, Forest, Reading and Millwall this season and another stalemate surely awaits. Similarly, Leeds have drawn three of their last five away matches and it’s difficult to separate these two sides on current form. Draw is the first of our Blackburn vs Leeds predictions and it’s available at 12/5 with William Hill.

Blackburn vs Leeds Both Teams to Score Odds

Whilst Leeds’ goal threat has noticeably reduced over the past couple of months, they are still incredibly dangerous in the final third and they are likely to get on the score-sheet here. Only Middlesbrough have stopped them scoring this season and Tony Pulis’ men set up to nullify their threat. They have netted one goal in each of their last four matches and it’s hard to see them being denied here. Blackburn failed to net against an extremely effective Sheffield United but they bounced back with a 1-0 success against local rivals – Bolton. They have the ever-impressive Bradley Dack in their side and they are incredibly quick to get the ball forward. Interestingly, all of their home goals have come in the second half of games so if they’re trailing at the break, there is no need to panic…Both Teams to Score? Yes is the second of our Blackburn vs Leeds predictions for Saturday lunchtime and it’s 5/6 with Sporting Bet.

Blackburn vs Leeds Anytime Goalscorer Odds

We’ve already mentioned him in one of previous predictions but Bradley Dack has been incredibly reliable performer since coming up to the second tier. He’s hugely energetic and dynamic and is surely a Premier League player-in waiting. He’s the club’s top scorer by quite some distance and has six for the season. Blackburn’s second top goalscorer is Charlie Mulgrew who has three so far. Dack looks like a sensible pick for this game and he’s likely to be Rover’s main goal threat in this encounter. Bradley Dack in the anytime goalscorer market is priced at 49/20 with 888Sport and is the third of our Blackburn vs Leeds predictions.

Blackburn vs Leeds Match Betting Preview

Blackburn Win – 12/5

Draw – 9/4

Leeds Win – 23/20

[global_advert id=”37941″]

Leeds understandably start as favourites for this tie and they can be backed at 23/20 to pick up their second consecutive away win. They thoroughly deserved their 1-0 success at Hull a couple of weeks ago although this should be much tougher for the West Yorkshire outfit. Blackburn have more than held their own so far in the Championship and they have a decent home record. They can be backed at 12/5 whilst it’s 9/4 to end all-square.

Each of Leeds’ last three games have featured just one or two goals whilst three of Blackburn’s last five have also featured fewer than three goals. Under 2.5 Goals can be backed at 4/5. For those who fancy a high-scoring encounter, Over 2.5 Goals is available at Evens. A 1-1 draw looks a distinct possibility here and Both Teams to Score? Yes is available at 8/11 whilst it’s 5/1 for the correct score.

Tyler Roberts has been excellent since coming into the side and he’s been a decent replacement Kemar Roofe. The former Oxford-loanee is available at 11/2 to open the scoring in this encounter. Our anytime goalscorer tip, Bradley Dack is 6/1 to grab the opener whilst his team-mate Danny Graham can be backed at 13/2. Mateusz Klich has enjoyed working under Marcelo Bielsa and the Polish midfielder is available at 8/1 to net the opener.
