Leeds vs Nottingham Forest Predictions

Our Championship predictions for Saturday night come from Elland Road as Leeds host Nottingham Forest in West Yorkshire. The Whites got back to winning ways in midweek but they hardly had to break sweat with Ipswich rarely challenging them. Marcelo Bielsa’s side played some decent stuff and always looked in control. Reports suggested that the contest was pretty much over once the first goal went in but Saturday’s encounter with the Tricky Trees will be much tougher. Forest were also winners in midweek, running out 3-0 victors at the Macron Stadium and Aitor Karanka will be delighted to get back to winning ways. The East Midlands outfit are unbeaten in four away games and have only been beaten by Brentford on their travels this season. Lewis Grabban is in good goalscoring form and they are producing some high quality performances. Leeds have only lost twice this season and this is a difficult contest to call. Birmingham came and did a job here but they capitalised on Leed’s fitness woes that day and many of their key players have returned to fold since that defeat. This games was televised on New Year’s Day and it ended goalless and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it finish all-square once again. Leeds have drawn two of their last five home matches whilst Forest have come away from Ashton Gate, the DW, The Liberty Stadium and Ewood Park with a point so far. The draw is available at 11/4 with Paddy Power and is the first of our Leeds vs Nottingham Forest predictions for Saturday.

Leeds vs Nottingham Forest Both Teams to Score Odds

Leeds have scored the second highest amount of goals in the Championship with 25 this season and they are certainly more of a threat with Kemar Roofe in the side. The Whites are relentless under Bielsa and he’s managed to get a number of midfielders scoring on a fairly regular basis. They’ve kept four clean sheets in seven at home although they were never really threatened by Ipswich and Middlesbrough set up for a point back at the end of August. Brentford, Birmingham and Stoke have all scored here this season and I think Forest can follow in their footsteps. They’ve netted ten times in the last five matches and have only failed to hit the target once in 14 matches. With both sides in decent goalscoring form, Both Teams to Score? Yes looks like a decent option and can be backed at 4/5 with Betfred. It is the second of our Leeds vs Nottingham Forest predictions.

Leeds vs Nottingham Forest Anytime Goalscorer Odds

Lewis Grabban appears to have been a very astute signing by Nottingham Forest and the striker has started to find form in the Championship. The former Norwich and Bournemouth man is a potent force at this level and he can find the net again here. The Croydon-born striker took a while to get into his groove but he now has eight for the season. He’s also scored four in the last three games and is Forest’s penalty taker. He is fourth favourite in the betting which gives us some value at 12/5 with 888Sport. He is the third of our Leeds vs Nottingham Forest predictions for Saturday teatime.

Leeds vs Nottingham Forest Match Betting Preview

Leeds Win – 7/10

Nottingham Forest Win – 4/1

Draw – 13/5

Leeds start as favourites for this tie at 7/10 and they will always attract a fair amount of money in the market. The Whites were back to winning ways in midweek but Ipswich didn’t put up much of a fight and Forest won’t make this easy for their opponents. Considering that Aitor Karanka’s men have recently won at the Riverside Stadium, they look a bit overpriced at 4/1. They have been in excellent form this season and will offer a real threat going forward. Our football tipster has gone for this game to finish all-square and the draw will be popular at 13/5.

This game ended goalless when they met on NYD but there have been some decent games between this pair over the past couple of seasons. Not so long ago, they played out a 7-3 and Over 2.5 Goals is a tempting 4/5 in this game. Under 2.5 Goals is available at Evens and would have landed in each of the last three meetings between these sides. Both Teams to Score? Yes looks like a safer option at 3/4.

Kemar Roofe is back in the side following a spell on the sidelines and the former West Brom man was back amongst the goals in midweek. He is the 4/1 favourite in the first goalscorer market with team-mate Tyler Roberts next in the betting at 9/2. Pablo Hernandez is priced at 7/1 whilst our anytime goalscorer Lewis Grabban is priced at 6/1. Joe Lolley is available at 12/1 to net the opener and he scored the first in midweek after just 12 minutes.
