Didcot Town v Exeter Betting Tips and Predictions – FA Cup

Didcot Town v Exeter betting tips and predictions for the FA Cup First Round tie being played on Sunday 8th November and the match is live on BT Sport.

Exeter are familiar with being knocked out at this stage by an underdog. Last season, screened on the BBC, the Grecians huffed and puffed, but couldn’t get past Warrington Town. An embarrassment and one they won’t wish to suffer in consecutive seasons.

Didcot Town v Exeter Predictions

Once again, they face the lowest ranked team in the competition, this time in the shape of Didcot Town. A side who were recently beaten 14-0 by MK Dons.

Exeter travel to the Loop Meadow Stadium with a patched up side after injuries have hit hard in recent weeks. A couple of 1-0 wins though have shown a different side to Paul Tisdale’s team, who have struggled to keep the opposition out at the start of the campaign.

Jordan Moore Taylor and Lee Holmes should be back for this as Exeter will look to make their quality known against the minnows. Obviously, the camera crew and presenters will be willing on an upset, but Paul Tisdale is an astute manager who is unlikely for fall for the same trick twice and will be determined to find a way around the men from the 8th tier.

It’s the first time in the first round for Didcot, who beat such luminaries as Brentwood, Wantage Town, Eastbourne and VCD Athletic to get to this point.

They have joint management, but haven’t collected a league win since September and that’s a worry. They have been determined to get to this stage and they’ve achieved their goal, will make a nice sum from their outing on TV and get plenty of exposure along the way, but I think their journey will end here.

Tisdale claims his players have learnt from last season’s early exit and it’s largely the same group with a couple of additions. He claims his side will be professional as they take to the field and not let the distraction of the occasion or the TV cameras stop them.

I fancy Exeter to come away with the victory and qualify for the next round. They’ve been keeping clean sheets of late and I fancy them to do so once against a side who have been poor at their own level.

My first Didcot v Exeter betting tip is Exeter to win to nil. It can be backed at 13/10 with Bet Victor.

Open a new BET VICTOR account here > get your first bet refunded > up to £25.

I’m also going back Exeter to score a few goals along the way, I fancy this match to be 3-0 or something similar, so I think they will score over 2.5 goals.

My second Didcot v Exeter prediction is for Exeter to score over 2.5 team goals. It can be backed at 13/10 with Coral.

Open a CORAL account here > bet £5 > win or lose get a £20 free bet automatically.

There’s plenty of possible goalscoring opportunities for the Exeter players, but one player who rarely lets me down when I back him is David Wheeler. The winger is highly rated and I think he should be able to find the net in this encounter and settle any possible nerves.

My third Didcot v Exeter predicton is for David Wheeler to score anytime. He can be backed at 7/4 with Betfred.
