Ebbsfleet vs Gateshead Betting Tips

The National League doesn’t stop for the International Break and it’s another quick turnaround for these two teams. The televised fixture between Ebbsfleet and Gateshead is an intriguing tie between two sides who are sat mid-table. The hosts have actually struggled to pick up points at home and have been far more effective on the road. They could only draw 1-1 in their derby match against Dover in midweek and will be looking to bounce back from that. At home, they’ve lost three of their first four matches although two of those games came against high-flying opposition; AFC Fylde and Sutton United. Gateshead’s away form has been mixed with narrow defeats to home specialists Halifax and also Bromley. Their only victory on the road came against Maidstone United, a side who are out-of-form and have lost four on the bounce. They also suffered a late reverse to Harrogate Town on Tuesday night and it’s hard to see them bouncing back here. It could be a second successive stalemate for Ebbsfleet in the National League and the draw is available at 13/5 with Bet365. It is the first of our Ebbsfleet vs Gateshead predictions.

Gateshead are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this season in four attempts and they are unlikely to keep out a decent Ebbsfleet forward line here. The Kent outfit failed to net in their opening couple of home games but have scored in their last five National League matches. They conceded shortly after scoring on Tuesday and Gateshead do have plenty of attacking threat. The last time these two sides met, Ebbsfleet won 5-2 in the North East and although we aren’t expecting seven goals this time around, BTTS should land. Both Teams to Score? Yes is available at 5/6 with Betfred and is the second of our Ebbsfleet vs Gateshead predictions.

There have been a number of goalscorers for Ebbsfleet this season with the prolific Danny Kedwell predictably finding the net on a regular basis. Corey Whiteley started the season in excellent fashion and although he wasn’t able to find the net in midweek, he looks the best option in the anytime goalscorer market. He’s netted four times so far this season including during Fleet’s last home match against AFC Fylde. He is priced at 8/5 with William Hill to net at any point here and is the third of our Ebbsfleet vs Gateshead predictions.

Ebbsfleet vs Gateshead Betting Preview

Inconsistency has blighted both of these two team’s seasons so far and they will both be hoping to pick up three points here and start to climb the table. Fleet have been in decent form and have the best away record in the division but they need to start picking up points here. They will be heavily favoured in this game with Gateshead losing their last two away matches. The hosts can be backed at 9/10 with 888Sport. Two of Gateshead’s three defeats this seasons have come against sides who sit in the top four and Steve Watson’s men will be difficult to penetrate. They always make it difficult for the opposition and the draw will be popular at 5/2. The Heed are 13/5 to pick up all three points.

Four of Ebbsfleet’s nine games this season have seen BTTS land including three of the last four and it’s likely to be well-backed at 15/16. Gateshead are yet to keep a clean sheet on the road this season and out-of-form Maidstone are the only side to fail to find a way past the North Easterners this season.

Luke Armstrong is Gateshead’s top scorer this season with five goals to his name and he can be backed at 7/1 to score the first goal of the game. Corey Whiteley has four for the hosts and he netted during their last home match. Meanwhile, Danny Kedwell continues to find the back of the net with regularity at this level and he is available at 9/2 with Bet365.
