The Saturday lunchtime kickoff sees Man City travelling to an Everton side who, following their abject FA Cup defeat at home to Wigan, are the crisis club of the week.
Man City are the favourites at a best price of 11/10 with Bet Victor, whom also offer the best price on the draw, at 13/5. An Everton win is possibly a little short at 47/16 with Pinnacle.

There’s something about a 12 point gap at the top of the table that a manager can’t just admit that the game is up. EVERYONE knows that Man Utd have won the league, but because Keegan blew a 12 point lead back in ’96, there is some sort of unwritten rule that no manager can declare the race over. Hopefully by the time Man U kick off Saturday evening Mancini will have admitted that United are Champions and we can give up on this ridiculous charade.
If you’re only as good as your last game, Everton have big problems. Three goals in as many minutes from Wigan booked their place in the FA Cup semi final. Whilst Everton were absolutely woeful in the Cup, their home form in the league is nothing sort of exceptional – one single defeat in their last 18 games, at that was against Chelsea back when they were good. Man City come into this game having won their last four in a row ‘to nil’ 0 but two of those were in the cup against lower league opposition, and a third was against Aston Villa. At the end of the season it’s the dropped points against the more meagre opposition which will have cost City the title – there’s no point in beating Chelsea 2-0 if you’re going to lose 3-1 to Southampton.
Everton have an exceptional record against City, only losing once to them in their last seven games, and i fancy them to hold City to a draw here. But seeing as Everton, despite their home record, have only kept two clean sheets in their last 23 premier league games, any draw that happens will be a score draw, which can be backed at 16/5 with Ladbrokes. It goes without saying that we will be looking to capitalise on Ladbrokes generous 3/4 on both teams to score – BTTS has landed in 22 of Everton’s 28 league games so far.
In terms of who is going to score the goals in the draw, there is one person who looks more likely than others – Carlos Tevez. He’s scored in his last four appearances for City, and following on from his arrest for driving whilst disqualified this week, he is guaranteed to score, and then do a goal celebration mimicking driving a car. You heard it here first. Tevez is 9/2 with Betfred to score first and their double delight / hat trick heaven promo, or 11/2 with Coral on a straight first goal scorer market.
