Arsenal vs Manchester City Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview – FA Cup
Arsenal vs Manchester City betting tips and predictions ahead of this FA Cup semi-final, kicking off at 3pm on Sunday, 23rd April 2017.
Can Arsenal’s poor season yet take them in to a cup final, or will their disastrous campaign get even worse on Sunday? They head in to a clash with Manchester City at Wembley, and Arsene Wenger’s side look vulnerable. He admitted that the Gunners aren’t fully confident, which is dangerous against an improving City outfit.
Arsenal vs Manchester City Predictions
While Arsenal claimed three points at Middlesbrough on Monday night, that doesn’t make all their problems go away. They toiled against the Premier League’s second bottom side, which shows some worrying problems for the Gunners. There’s questions over just how big a threat they are in big games, especially when you look at Manchester City’s record.
The Citizens have just one win in their last 10 meetings with sides in the top seven of the Premier League. However, that win came against Arsenal at the Etihad. They recently almost pulled off another success over the Gunners, as they drew 2-2 at the Emirates after dominating the game. They should be able to take charge of this one, especially with Sergio Aguero in excellent form.
The Argentine has scored 11 times in his last 11 outings for his club, while he’s in brilliant form in the capital. Aguero has seven goals in his last six in London, which should see him continue his great run of form. We’re backing Aguero to score at 22/23 with 888Sport in our first betting tip for this FA Cup semi-final.
We think that he will fire City to glory, but Pep Guardiola’s side have a really poor defensive record this term. We can’t see the Gunners failing to score, so Manchester City to win and both teams to score is our second Arsenal vs Manchester City prediction, which is 21/10 with Betfair.
City could be without Bacary Sagna and John Stones at the back, which would enhance their defensive troubles. Arsenal are without Santi Cazorla and defender Shkodran Mustafi, which leaves them short ahead of a crunch game.
Head to Head Stats
Arsenal have won three of the last six meetings, but just one of the last four. While City don’t have a great record against the Gunners, Pep Guardiola has a 5-2 lead in meetings with Wenger.
Arsenal vs Manchester City Betting Odds
We can see this being a tight game, although both poor defences should be tested. We’re backing City to edge this one with both teams scoring, and we’re backing a 2-1 win for the Citizens. That’s priced at 17/2 with Sky Bet, and it rounds off our Arsenal vs Manchester City betting tips.
