Brighton vs Derby Predictions

The Premier League side needed a reply and then extra-time to scrape past West Brom in the last round. The first match at the AMEX Stadium ended in a 0-0 draw and we’re not predicting many goals in this clash with Derby County either. Brighton have only scored four goals in their last seven home matches, failing to score in three of those and that doesn’t bode well for them here. Derby are hardly prolific in-front of goal themselves but they are very good defensively and that’s why we’re going for under 2.5 goals in our Brighton v Derby predictions for this FA Cup clash. An under 2.5 bet would have won in Derby’s last five fixtures.

Brighton vs Derby First Goalscorer Prediction

We’re expecting a low scoring match here and you’ll see from our final betting tip that we’re also going with an upset at the AMEX. Given that we’re not expecting many goals, rather than bet on an anytime scorer, we’re going to take a chance with a first goalscorer bet at some decent odds. We tipped Harry Wilson to score in Derby’s recent match against Ipswich but he wasn’t on the scoresheet, so we’re having another stab this weekend. He’s already scored against Southampton in the FA Cup this season and also scored a world class free-kick against Manchester United. At odds of 11/1, Harry Wilson to score first is the next of this weekend’s FA Cup betting tips.

Correct Score Prediction

There is every chance of an upset here – Brighton haven’t been great recently and are on a run of seven matches without a win in normal time. They were beaten 3-1 at home to Burnley last weekend and are still looking over their shoulder in the Premier League. Chris Hughton will probably make some changes to his starting line-up here and that might allow Derby to pinch a spot in the quarter finals of the FA Cup. Derby to win 1-0 is the last of our Brighton v Derby predictions this weekend.
