Hull City vs Arsenal Betting Tips and Predictions

Hull v Arsenal predictions and betting tips for this week’s FA Cup fifth round replay with the best odds for our tipsters’ three bets.

Hull host Arsenal at the KC Stadium in the 5th round replay live on BT Sport on Tuesday evening and we’ve got three football betting tips.

Hull City vs Arsenal Predictions

Hull enter this game in pretty poor form over their last five matches. They have drawn 0-0 three times, beat Ipswich 1-0 and recently lost away at Birmingham by the same score. Defensively they have one of the best records all season from any Championship team, and they took that record to the Emirates and earned a very credible draw. They do struggle for goals, and with the resurgence of Burnley and Middlesbrough in the league, I’ve got a feeling Steve Bruce may go with another weakened Hull City starting line-up against Arsenal as this simply isn’t his priority.

Arsene Wenger will be pleased with the heart that his side shown after being 2-1 down at White Hart Lane and getting an equaliser with 10 men. That point has kept them in the title race, and the league will be the main priority. Barring a miracle in Barcelona, they are out of the Champions League, so I do think Wenger will be keen to make it a hat-trick of FA Cup successes, and history proves he does still play strong line ups in this competition. Momentum is key at this stage of the season too, and Arsenal need a win here to give them the confidence to continue to the end of the season.

My firstHull vs Arsenal prediction is simply for Arsenal to win in the 90 minutes. I always looked at this game and thought if it were anywhere near evens, it would be too good to turn down. William Hill are offering 10/11 for Arsenal to win, and given Hull are now out of the automatic promotion positions in the Championship, I believe Steve Bruce will have re-evaluated his priorities.

My next Hull v Arsenal prediction for the match is going to be under 2.5 match goals. The fact there’s only been two goals in Hull’s last five matches, and Arsenal played 30 mins with 10 men, this match may take a little time to get warmed up. I expect a cagey affair, and with changes from both sides likely, a low scoring one too.

The best odds for under 2.5 goals in Hull vs Arsenal are 4/5 with Sky Bet.

My last betting tip for Hull vs Arsenal in the FA Cup this week is a first goalscorer tip and it’s going to be Olivier Giroud. After not starting in the North London Derby, I’d be surprised if he isn’t in the Arsenal starting XI against Hull on Tuesday. He needs a goal to get back into the starting line-up, and he’s well overdue considering he is a goal every other game striker.

The best odds for Giroud to score first against Hull are 9/2 at Ladbrokes. Use Ladbrokes to bet on first goalscorer bets on any TV match this season and if he scores in the first 25 minutes you get paid at double the odds.
