Tottenham vs Millwall Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Tottenham vs Millwall predictions and betting tips for the FA Cup quarter final on Sunday 12th March with team news and a full match preview included.

Tottenham host Millwall in Sunday’s only FA Cup tie live on BBC one. Can the League one side cause another upset or will Tottenham ease through to the semi-finals? Here are my tips and predictions for the big London derby.

Tottenham are absolutely flying at White Hart Lane at the moment after winning their ninth Premier League home game in a row and they have also won two FA Cup ties against Wycombe Wanderers and Aston Villa in that time as well. The victory against Everton last week in the Premier League moved them up to second in the table and they are six points clear of fifth place Arsenal in their quest for the top four. Mauricio Pochettino knows that Tottenham haven’t won the FA cup in nearly thirty years and this season could be the perfect opportunity to win it with a favourable draw in the Quarter-Final. As well as this, they have no European football anymore so I expect the team selection to be strong on Sunday.

Millwall are currently sitting in sixth place in the league one table and are hopeful of finishing in the play-offs this season and a trip to Wembley at the end of it. They also have an opportunity to go to Wembley if they can cause a huge upset and knock out Tottenham in this Quarter-Final. They have already knocked out three Premier League teams so far in their FA Cup run but all three of those games have been at The Den and this has been a huge factor in Millwall getting this far. They are unbeaten since the 17th December so this won’t be a walk in the park for Tottenham and Neil Harris will know that this tie has to be settled on the day so this game could go the distance and he would take a penalty shoot-out right now.

Tottenham vs Milwall Predictions

My first Tottenham vs Millwall prediction for this FA Cup tie is going to be for Tottenham to win the game to nil. I think that they are going to have too much quality for the League one side and with Mauricio Pochettino fielding a strong side I can’t see Millwall even causing Tottenham a scare and I expect the Premier League side to keep a clean sheet. This has happened in two of the FA Cup ties that Tottenham have played in so far this season and it’s 4/5 that Tottenham win the game to nil with Bet Victor. My second Tottenham vs Millwall prediction is going to be for Harry Kane to outscore Millwall. This just means that the forward has to score more goals than Millwall do as a team. The England international is on top form at the moment and I have no doubts that he will score on Sunday however the odds are too short for Kane to score anytime so I’ve found a way to get some better value. I expect Tottenham to keep a clean sheet so Kane will only need to grab a goal for this bet to be a winner and even if Millwall do get one goal, Harry Kane is more than capable of grabbing more than one as shown in his last two matches against Everton and Stoke where he has scored five times. Sky Bet are offering evens for Harry Kane to outscore the opposition. The odds are Evens with Sky Bet and you get a no deposit £10 free bet via this link.

My third and final Tottenham vs Millwall is going to be a correct score tip. I am opting to choose the correct score as there is not much value to be found in this game and a correct score is always worth a pound or two. Tottenham won their last FA Cup match 3-0 away to Fulham and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw the same score line here. Bet Victor are offering 13/2 for Tottenham to win 3-0 and this completes my FA Cup predictions.

Tottenham vs Millwall Team News

As mentioned earlier, I expect Tottenham to play a strong side for this game even though they are facing lower league opposition. Danny Rose and Erik Lamela will be unavailable though as they try and recover from injuries. As for Millwall, I expect them to name a strong line-up like they have in the previous rounds so Steve Morison is likely to lead the line and he will be a tough opponent for the Tottenham defenders on Sunday.

Tottenham vs Millwall Head to Head

These two sides haven’t meet since 1990 and Tottenham won that particular match 1-0. Tottenham are unbeaten since 1939 against Millwall and will be confident of continuing that run on Sunday.

Tottenham vs Millwall Betting Odds

Tottenham are as short priced as 1/8 with some bookmakers for this match. A draw in 90 minutes is 7/1 with Bet365 and a shock Millwall win is 20/1 with Ladbrokes. If you disagree with my predictions and think Milwall could potentially grab a goal then both teams to score is 6/4 with Betfair and finally if you do fancy the League One side to claim their fourth Premier League scalp of the season but don’t think they will do it ninety minutes then Paddy Power are offering 9/1 for Millwall to qualify.
