Watford vs Crystal Palace Match Preview

It’s incredible to think that neither of these teams have never won the FA Cup, however this is the case. Palace have the better record in this competition, getting to the final twice, most recently in 2016 when they lost in extra time to Manchester United. Watford have only reached the final once, in 1984 under Graham Taylor, in which they were beaten 2-0 by Everton.

After resting important players in their last league match against Manchester City, it is quite obvious that manager Javi Gracia is making the FA Cup the clubs priority this season. Who can blame him? Watford have had an absolutely tremendous season so far and find themselves in the top half of the league with relegation completely out of the picture. We’re backing Watford to win this game in a close match.

Palace find themselves coming into this game coming off the back of a 2-1 defeat at home to fierce rivals Brighton. They are far from safe coming into the final games of the season and will have their minds on the league still. However, something that has been a positive for the Eagles is their away form. With the sixth best away record in England’s top tier, they will fancy their chances this Saturday at Vicarage Road.

Anytime Goalscorer Prediction

Watford have been brilliant at finding the net this season, scoring the most goals out of any team outside of the top 6. This has been shown especially recently, as main man Troy Deeney has found himself directly involved in 6 goals in their last three games. Gerard Deulofeu has also been in fine form, but I reckon the Hornets captain Deeney anytime is a great shout at 9/4 with Betfred to find the net.

If you fancy Palace in this one, then there is a few options for a goalscorer bet. Wilfried Zaha has been impressing lately, but we reckon Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi has the best chance at scoring anytime at 14/5 with Unibet.

Correct Score Prediction

This one is pretty hard to call, it’s going to be a close one, with either team winning by one goal. One thing that we can all be certain on however is goals. Watford are scoring at a great rate, and Palace will have to try and match them, which is very possible with their amount of attacking options. I’m going to stick with this being a close game and go for a 2-1 Watford victory, Which you can get at (ODDS). The duo of Deeney and Deulofeu will be clinical in those vital moments and will send Watford into the semi finals at Wembley.
