West Brom vs Brighton Predictions and Betting Tips: FA Cup Preview

West Brom predictions

West Brom vs Brighton predictions and betting tips for the FA Cup fourth round replay on Wednesday 6th February. The sides played out a 0-0 draw at the first attempt and the neutral will be hoping for a much better game here.

The hosts sit fourth in the Championship as they look to bounce back to the Premier League so could probably do without the distraction of a cup run, but Brighton won’t get dragged into the relegation battle so should go all out here. A very winnable home time against Derby County awaits in the next round.

West Brom vs Brighton Preview

West Brom will have hopes of bouncing back to the Premier League this season and currently sit in the play-off places. They’re seven points off the automatic promotion places and three ahead of seventh placed Derby. It’s hard to know how seriously Darren Moore will take this game but with a quarter final spot in sight, it’s hard to see them making a lot of changes.

Brighton haven’t won in five now and Chris Houghton will be keen to get back to winning ways. His side won’t get relegated this season so should have a real go in the FA Cup, especially as it is another Championship side awaiting them in the next round. Changes were made in the first tie with the likes of Glenn Murray and Pascal Gross rested and it remains to be seen what starting line-up Brighton go with here.

West Brom vs Brighton Predictions

We’re tipping the Championship side to win this FA Cup replay. They are having a strong season and Brighton have gone off the boil in recent weeks. They haven’t won in five matches now and two of their last three games have ended 0-0. They also threw away a 2-0 lead away at Fulham to lose 4-2. West Brom are in better form and although they suffered a 3-2 loss to Middlesbrough at the weekend, we think they’re good value here.

From the anytime goalscorer odds, Dwight Gayle is going to be the selection. The West Brom top scorer was rested for the first leg but he could go back into the starting line-up after his goal against Middlesbrough at the weekend. Given that we are predicting a West Brom win, it makes sense to pick one of their players for our West Brom vs Brighton anytime scorer tip.

The final bet we are selecting comes from the total goals bet and perhaps surprisingly, our tipster is backing over 2.5 goals. Despite the first match ending 0-0 and Brighton enduring another 0-0 at the weekend, this match could go against that trend and more towards the 4-2 defeat they suffered against Fulham. West Brom’s result on Saturday was a 3-2 loss so goals could happen.
