Juventus vs Udinese predictions, match preview and betting tips for the Serie A fixture on Friday 8th March 2019 at the Allianz Stadium. The Old Lady are heading towards another Serie A title and Udinese are having a shocking season. See our match prediction and betting tips below.
Match date: Friday 8th March 2019
Kick-off time: 7.30pm
Stadium: Allianz Stadium, Turin
Juventus are in a commanding position to win their eighth straight Serie A title, holding a 16 point lead over second placed Napoli. Manager Massimiliano Allegri will have one eye on next week’s crucial Champions League last 16 match with Atletico Madrid where they have a 2-0 deficit to overturn after a disappointing night in Madrid two weeks ago. This could mean the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala are rested for this match or at least only played for part of the game. Even so, we’re confident of yet another Juventus win here to make it no Serie defeats in 11 months.
Udinese are having a tough season and are probably just far enough from the relegation zone to be comfortable thanks to back to back home wins, however their away form is atrocious. They’ve not won in eight matches away from home and in the last five of those, they’ve failed to score a goal. Their latest wins over Bologna and Chievo have moved them seven points away from the drop zone and manager Davide Nicola has got some fans back onside with those results. Juventus to win without conceding is the first of our Juventus vs Udinese predictions for the match.
Mario Mandzukic has been a regular in the Juventus starting line-up this season and he will likely be starting this match as well – it is wise to check the team news though as there is a chance Allegri will make a few changes ahead of the vital Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid next week. Despite not being as prolific as Ronaldo in front of goal, Mandzukic has still chipped in with eight goals this season and six of those have come at the Allianz Stadium.
The last of our three football betting tips for this Serie A clash is going to be a correct score bet and we need to back up the earlier forecast of a Juve victory without conceding a goal. This will mean that Udinese have not scored in six away matches and it will also give the Old Lady an even bigger lead at the top of the Serie A table. We are going for a 2-0 victory here and although this is the favourite in the betting odds, it is still an 11/2 shot which would provide a nice return if our bet is a winner!
Juventus to win to nil – 11/10.
Mandzukic to score anytime – 7/5.
