Middlesbrough vs Crystal Palace Predictions
We’re predicting Middlesbrough to avoid defeat in the 90 minutes in this match. Palace managed a 2-2 draw against Arsenal at the weekend thanks to two penalties, but before that they lost away at Bournemouth and Everton, and at home to Wolves. Middlesbrough are in the mix at the top of the Championship table and have already beaten Rochdale and Preston to get to this point. Because we’re using the draw no bet market for the first match prediction, if the game ends a draw you will get your money back.
Middlesbrough have only conceded three goals in their last five home matches but they have struggled a little in front of goal of late too. At home, they’ve only scored once in their last four matches so we could have a low scoring match here. In Crystal Palace’s last League Cup match they went to West Brom and won 3-1 and prior to that it was just a 1-0 win at Preston. We’re taking a chance on a low scoring match here and going with under 2.5 goals, which is either a strongly fancied single or a bet to go into this week’s football accumulator bet.
[global_advert id=”37947″]The two selections so far are quite short in the betting odds, so for a bigger odds bet we’re going for a correct score tip. We’re already backing Middlesbrough to win or draw this match and we’re going to take that a step further with a correct score bet of Middlesbrough to win the match 1-0. The odds for this are attractive at 19/2 and that is the bet to place if you think Boro will cause the upset in this League Cup match.
