Burton vs Wycombe Predictions

Burton just cannot be trusted at home. The Brewers were odds-on at the Pirelli once again in midweek and still somehow failed to beat travel sick Bolton Wanderers. Nigel Clough’s side have also failed to beat Southend here earlier in the campaign.

They’ve won just six times at home this season, yet they have been defeated on just three occasions. Too many draws have prevented them from threatening the play-offs, and they may drop points here as well.

Wycombe have struggled away from home in recent weeks, yet they should be refreshed after having a week off. The Chairboys only have a small squad and they will have undoubtedly benefitted from that rest period.

They’ve only drawn five times away from, yet they should be able to pick up a point in this one.

Betting tip for Burton vs Wycombe – Draw – 13/5

What score will Burton vs Wycombe be? 1-1 – 24/5

Tranmere vs Lincoln Predictions

Tranmere are giving survival a real good go, and the Wirral side won again in midweek. Mickey Mellon’s men are playing with plenty of passion and spirit and have won three matches in a row coming into this one. They are still three points shy of safety, yet they’ve given themselves a fighting chance and have made it a nervous final few weeks for the sides directly above them.

Peter Clarke and Mark Ellis have formed a terrific partnership at the back whilst Morgan Ferrier has looked like a player reborn in recent weeks.

Lincoln edged out Burton at the weekend and weren’t in action on Tuesday night. The Imps have struggled on the road this season, and they’ve lost four of their last five away from Sincil Bank. Michael Appleton’s young side could find this an extremely tricky afternoon at Prenton Park.

Betting tip for Tranmere  vs Lincoln – Tranmere win – 7/4

What score will Tranmere vs Lincoln be? 2-1 – 10/1

Gillingham vs Fleetwood Predictions

Gillingham played the role of party poopers once again last weekend as they scored in the dying embers of the match to deny Sunderland all three points. Steve Evans’ side are extremely tough to beat and they won’t be fazed by this clash with high-flying Fleetwood.

The Kent side have lost just eight times this campaign and have suffered just a single defeat since the end of November. They work extremely hard, and they never know when they’re beaten.

Fleetwood picked up another useful point in midweek as they drew at Fratton Park. Very few sides leave that ground with anything to show for it, so it was another feather in the cap of manager Joey Barton. Barry McKay is enjoying a purple patch, whilst the likes of Ched Evans and Paddy Madden offer a constant threat.

The Cod Army are brilliant, yet they may have to settle for a third successive draw.

Betting tip for Gills vs Fleetwood – Draw  – 21/10

What score will Gills vs Fleetwood be? 1-1 – 9/2

Portsmouth vs Accrington Predictions

Pompey are formidable at Fratton Park, and are yet to suffer a defeat at home. They did drop points last time out against a very good Fleetwood side and they’ll be determined to get back to winning ways here. They will fancy their chances of doing so having picked up maximum points against every bottom half opponent so far this campaign.

Kenny Jackett’s side have also kept five clean sheets in eight games against sides who sit eleventh or below and they’ll be confident of continuing that run here. Christian Burgess is back for this fixture which will certainly help them tighten up.

Accrington were far from impressive last weekend as they suffered an unexpected defeat to Tranmere. Stanley are now winless in four and they’ve scored just a single goal in their last three matches. John Coleman suggested that his side aren’t safe yet although they are unlikely to pick up anything from this trip south.

Betting tip for Portsmouth vs Accrington – Pompey win – 4/7

What score will Portsmouth vs Accrington be? 3-0 – 10/1

Coventry vs Shrewsbury Predictions

Despite putting in a fairly lethargic performance last weekend, Coventry still managed to take maximum points from their trip to Ipswich. The Sky Blues were also able to capitalise on Rotherham’s defeat to go top of League One.

Coventry have a five point cushion at the top and their performances have been excellent in 2020. They look destined for Championship football next season, and their watertight defence has been a major part of their success. They’ve kept 14 clean sheets this clean sheets this campaign, and have conceded just four times since the beginning of February.

Shrewsbury have been in incredibly mixed form, and the jury remains out on manager Sam Ricketts. They were cruising against Oxford last weekend before a sending off ruined their chances. They’ve won just four times on the road this season, and are unlikely to get anything from this tie.

Betting tip for Coventry vs Shrewbury  – Coventry win – 63/100

What score will Coventry vs Shrewsbury be? 2-0 – 11/2

Oxford vs MK Dons Predictions

Oxford snatched victory from the jaws of defeat last weekend as they came from 2-0 down to pick up all three points on the road. The Yellows are back up to third and have won each of their last five matches in League One. Their home form has been excellent this season and Karl Robinson’s side will be hoping to make it a fourth win in a row at the Kassam.

MK Dons were not at the races last weekend as they slipped up against Doncaster at Stadium MK. They are now winless in three and have been victorious just once in their last five.

Russell Martin’s side are not particularly good travellers and are likely to find this an extremely tough assignment.

Betting tip for Oxford vs MK Dons – Oxford win – 3/4

What score will Oxford vs MK Dons be? 2-1 – 7/1
