Accrington vs Tranmere Predictions

It’s been a mixed bag for Accrington in recent weeks with John Coleman’s side following back-to-back victories with a three game winless run. Accy are incredibly hard to predict and they do have the tendency to throw a spanner in the works on a regular basis. However, they have plenty about them and they have a number of talented players who can be match-winners on their day.

At home, they have a decent record against sides in the bottom half and have recently seen off AFC Wimbledon and Lincoln at the Crown Ground. Despite failing to find a way past the Trotters at the University of Bolton Stadium, they should be able to see off Tranmere this time around.

The visitors didn’t play at the weekend, however they do come here off the back of a victory (against Shrewsbury). Despite that recent success, they’ve struggled on the road this season and have conceded seven in their last three away from Prenton Park.

Betting tip for Accy vs Tranmere – Accrington win – 4/5

What score will Accrington vs Tranmere be? 2-1 – 7/1

Fleetwood vs Blackpool Predictions

Fleetwood are enjoying an exceptional season under Joey Barton, and they picked up yet another three points in midweek at Portman Road. They’ve kept a number of clean sheets this campaign, and they’ve proved themselves as genuine play-off contenders in recent weeks. They’ve won four of their last five matches in League One and have conceded just twice during that run.

They’ve had some extremely tough fixtures in recent weeks having seen off Pompey, Peterborough and Ipswich. They’ve also drawn at Sunderland and beaten Wycombe. This should be a little easier for the Cod Army.

Blackpool have finally appointed Simon Grayson’s successor with Neil Critchley leaving Liverpool to take over at the Seaside. The Tangerines had been better under David Dunn with young loanees Conor Ronan and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall impressing.

There’s a lot to do for the new boss and this is a tough start for the former U23s coach.

Betting tip for Fleetwood vs Blackpool – Fleetwood win – 5/6

What score will Fleetwood vs Blackpool be? 2-0 – 7/1

Ipswich vs Coventry Predictions

Ipswich are struggling and their play-off ambitions are hanging by a thread. The Tractor Boys slipped up against Blackpool last weekend before coming undone against another Fylde Coast side in midweek. They’ve won just one of their last eight and Paul Lambert is under pressure despite signing a new five-year contract not so long ago.

Although Freddie Sears was back amongst the goals last weekend, Ipswich have struggled for goals in recent weeks and they won’t enjoy facing defensively resolute Coventry.

The Sky Blues have been excellent in recent weeks, and were superb against Sunderland last weekend. They are top of the table and have avoided defeat since December 14th. Mark Robins’ side are incredibly tough to beat and with plenty of creativity on the wings, it’s difficult to see them getting beat here.

Betting tip for Ipswich vs Coventry – Coventry win – 7/4

What score will Ipswich vs Coventry be? 0-2  – 12/1

MK Dons vs Doncaster Predictions

MK Dons have been much better at home in recent weeks, however they picked up a notable result on the road last weekend. Russell Martin’s men fell behind, yet managed to secure a point against leaders Rotherham. There is perhaps a slight over-reliance on Rhys Healey, who has been superb since returning to the side, and he will be hoping to be the match-winner once again.

With the general consensus being that the Dons are perfectly safe this season, they can certainly play with a little more freedom. They’ve won four of five at Stadium MK and they are facing a side who don’t particularly travel well.

Donny have lost three of their last four on the road and they cannot seem to replicate their excellent form away from the Keepmoat. They’ve recently been defeated at both Shrewsbury and Gillingham and could struggle once again outside of South Yorkshire.

Betting tip for MK Dons vs Doncaster – MK Dons win – 13/8

What score will MK Dons vs Doncaster be? 1-0  – 15/2

AFC Wimbledon vs Bolton Predictions

AFC Wimbledon are desperately scrapping for survival at the bottom of League One, and the Dons picked up some much needed points last weekend. It was an unexpected victory away from home, and it gives them something to build upon here. They now have an eight point cushion on the bottom three and they could give themselves yet more breathing space with a victory here.

They’re unbeaten in four of their last five League One matches, and will fancy their chances against poor travellers Bolton.

The Trotters held Accrington to a goalless draw last weekend and even though they are facing the prospect of playing League Two football next season, the players appear to still be battling for Keith Hill. However, their away form is terrible and they’ve lost each of their last four on the road. Three of those defeats have been by a 2-1 scoreline, so there’s not too much between them and this one could also be fairly close.

Betting tip for AFC Wimbledon vs Bolton – AFC Wimbledon win – 11/10

What score will AFC Wimbledon vs Bolton be? 2-1  – 15/2

Sunderland vs Gillingham Predictions

Sunderland have had an exceptional 2020 so far, however, the Black Cats suffered a rare defeat against Coventry last weekend and they will need to bounce back here. They sit fifth in the table and their promotion hopes remain on track. Phil Parkinson’s side have also been defensively resolute this calendar year with eight of their 11 clean sheets arriving since January 11th.

The Black Cats dropped points at home to Fleetwood last time out, however with a decent atmosphere inside the Stadium of Light, they will be expected to collect three points.

Gillingham are incredibly tough to beat, however, the Kent side slipped up last time out to AFC Wimbledon. It put an end to their impressive run of form, which has seen them avoid defeat since November 23rd. They’re now winless in two and they are unlikely to pick up maximum points here.

Betting tip for Sunderland vs Gillingham – Sunderland win – 4/5

What score will Sunderland vs Gillingham be? 2-0  – 13/2
