Cheltenham vs Mansfield Prediction

Cheltenham have been on the surprise packages of the campaign in League Two and the Robins currently sit fifth in the table. They have one of the best defensive records in the division and are particularly deadly at home. Their forward line, which has been boosted by the return of Luke Varney, rarely fails to fire and with the addition of Alfie May in January, they now have plenty of options in the final third.

They have a 9-4-2 record at this stadium and have netted at least two goals in each of their last four matches here. Only Plymouth and Forest Green have won at this stadium this season and inconsistent Mansfield will have their work cut out this weekend.

The visitors have won just three times this calendar year, and haven’t been victorious on the road since New Year’s Day. They have managed to find the net in each of their last five away trips, and are likely to play their part in an entertaining contest.

Betting tip for Cheltenham vs Mansfield – Cheltenham win – 19/20

What score will Cheltenham vs Mansfield be? 2-1  – 7/1

Carlisle vs Morecambe Prediction

Carlisle betting tips

Carlisle have been excellent since Chris Beech took over and despite the Cumbrians sitting just five points above the dotted line, they’ve been much improved and extremely hard to beat in recent weeks. They’ve lost just one of their last seven League Two matches (vs Cheltenham) and have beaten Walsall and Forest Green already this calendar year. Notably, they also held high-flying Swindon to a 1-1 draw at Brunton Park.

Morecambe start the day five points behind today’s opponents and they’ve also been aided by a managerial switch halfway through the campaign. The Shrimps appointed Derek Adams and he’s given them a little more potency in the final third. The emergence of Carlos Mendes Gomes has offered them something a little different and he is likely to cause problems for the Carlisle defence throughout the course of the afternoon.

This is Morecambe’s shortest away trip of the season, but they could return to Lancashire disappointed.

Betting tip for Carlisle vs Morecambe – Carlisle win – 5/4

What score will Carlisle vs Morecambe be? 2-1  – 8/1

Crawley vs Stevenage Prediction

Another manager who has had a positive effect in League Two is John Yems. The returning boss has made Crawley extremely tough to beat and they come into this game having lost just twice since Boxing Day. They’ve not suffered a home defeat since mid-November and have won three of their last four at this venue.

They could only draw 0-0 with Carlisle last time out, and have now kept clean sheets in their last three matches.

Stevenage’s Graham Westley experiment failed spectacularly and he was sacked (again) last week. They appointed Alex Revell and the former striker faces the unenviable task to keeping them in the EFL. They are marooned at the bottom of the table, eight points adrift of second bottom Morecambe and their recent performances have shown very little improvement.

Considering Crawley’s upturn in form, they look a really nice price to collect all three points.

Betting tip for Crawley vs Stevenage – Crawley win – 11/10

What score will Crawley vs Stevenage be? 2-0  – 8/1

Walsall vs Port Vale Prediction

Walsall predictions

Walsall have been one of the more erratic sides in the division this season and the Saddlers have become a little unpredictable in recent weeks. Just as Darrell Clarke was looking doomed, they have gone three unbeaten and came from 2-0 down to see off Northampton last weekend.

At home, they’ve lost two of their last three outings and been defeated in almost 50% of their matches at the Banks’ Stadium. They have a decent squad with plenty of experience, yet perhaps a lack of genuine firepower has been to blame for their up-and-down form.

Port Vale have been quietly impressive this campaign and they have crept into the play-off picture under-the-radar. Vale were 3-0 winners last week with Mark Cullen’s double helping them secure a surprise victory over Colchester United.

Away from home, they’ve won two in a row and it is rarely advised to write them off.

Betting tip for Walsall vs Port Vale – Port Vale Draw No Bet – 21/20

What score will Walsall vs Port Vale be? 0-1 – 7/1

Newport vs Bradford Prediction

It’s been a fairly unremarkable season in L2 for Newport County. They sit comfortably in mid-table and have scored 27 and conceded 27 in their opening 31 matches. Although they’ve kept things purposely tight, their games have been relatively low key and the Rodney Parade faithful have had very few goals to cheer this season.

The Exiles have now failed to find the net in each of their last four matches and they also took Salford to penalties in the EFL Trophy in midweek following a goalless 90 mins.

What is the William Hill bonus code for new customers?

Only two matches since Boxing Day have featured three or more goals and another low-scoring tie is expected here.

Bradford have been better since Stuart McCall returned to West Yorkshire and he has helped reignite the feel-good factor around Valley Parade. They’ve failed to score in three of their last four away trips and this could be a slow-burner once again.

Betting tip for Newport vs Bradford – Under 2.5 Goals – 8/15

What score will Newport vs Bradford be? 0-1 – 7/1

Crewe vs Macclesfield Prediction

Crewe are one of the best home sides in the division and the Railwaymen are usually formidable at Gresty Road. They have an 11-3-3 record in front of their own fans and their young squad clearly love playing here. They’ve won six games straight here, and have netted exactly two goals in each of their last three outings here.

Crewe sometimes have problems keeping clean sheets, although they will fancy their chances against low-scoring Macclesfield. The majority of the Silkmen’s points have come at Moss Rose this year, and only Morecambe and Stevenage have poorer away form.

Mark Kennedy’s side have failed to find the net in three of their last six away matches and they could easily come up short again here.

Crewe may be 2/5, but they are ideal accumulator material this weekend.

Betting tip for Crewe vs Macclesfield – Crewe win – 2/5

What score will Crewe vs Macclesfield be? 3-0  – 15/2
