Cheltenham vs Port Vale Prediction

Michael Duff has done an exceptional job at Cheltenham and the Robins are genuine promotion contenders. They are built on extremely solid foundations, and barely concede. They’ll make it tough for Port Vale to find a way past them. They’ve conceded just 27 times this season, ten fewer than any other League Two side and they’ve also managed three clean sheets in their last five outings.

Since losing to Plymouth, they’ve won six consecutive matches at home and they generally find a way to take maximum points here.

Port Vale have been superb this season, and the Valiants are pushing for the play-offs. They’re unbeaten in their last seven outings, however this is their toughest assignment in a while. They’ve won two of their last five away games, but may just come up short here.

Betting tip for Cheltenham vs Port Vale – Cheltenham win – 10/11

What score will Cheltenham vs Port Vale be? 2-1  – 15/2

Crawley vs Oldham Prediction

Crawley sit in 12th and are simply playing for fun this season. John Yems has got plenty out of his side since taking over, although their away form remains a little patchy. At home, they are fairly reliable, and have won four of their last five League Two games.

Although one of their recent fixtures came against a barren Stevenage side, they’ve managed to keep back-to-back home clean sheets, and will be full of confidence coming into this game. With Bez Lubala, Ollie Palmer and Ashley Nadesan all very capable in front of goal, they should have enough to collect three points.

Oldham have done okay in recent weeks, and they’ve been particularly impressive at Boundary Park. The Latics have off-the-field issues, however, they are perfectly safe from relegation and can play with a bit of freedom here. They’ve won just three times away from home this season and may be forced to make the long journey home with nothing to show for it.

Betting tip for Crawley vs Oldham – Crawley win – 11/8

What score will Crawley vs Oldham be? 2-1  – 17/2

Crewe vs Stevenage Prediction

Crewe have been superb this season, and they picked up another important point at St.James’ Park in midweek. Dave Artell’s men struggle to keep clean sheets on the road, yet they are largely formidable on their own patch. They sit second in the table, and have the second best home form in League Two. They’ve got a 12-3-3 record at Gresty Road, and have won each of their last seven matches in front of their own fans.

The hosts should find this a relatively simple assignment.

Stevenage are staring the National League in the face, and the dismissal of Graham Westley has failed to bring out any improvement. They’ve now lost seven in a row, and have failed to hit the back of the net in three of their last five.

Betting tip for Crewe vs Stevenage – Crewe win – 11/8

What score will Crewe vs Stevenage be? 3-0  – 9/1

Northampton vs Mansfield Prediction

Despite some patchy form in recent weeks, Northampton remain firmly entrenched in the play-offs, and Keith Curle’s men are a match for any side on their day. The Cobblers were excellent last weekend as they eased past an in-form Grimsby side and the loan signing of Callum Morton is proving to be a master-stroke. The WBA player has been superb and is likely to test the Mansfield defence here.

The hosts have the seventh best home form in the division, and only Swindon and Port Vale have won at this ground since the beginning of October.

Mansfield are struggling under Graham Coughlan, and they will need a huge rebuild in the summer. Away from home, they’ve lost four of their last five and are unlikely to get anything here.

Betting tip for Northampton vs Mansfield – Northampton win – 10/11

What score will Northampton vs Mansfield be? 3-1  – 16/1

Plymouth vs Macclesfield Prediction

Plymouth were back to winning ways in midweek courtesy of a superb first half performance against Grimsby. The pilgrims sit four points off top spot, and they will see this as a very winnable fixture. At home, they’ve won 11 times and have suffered just two defeats at Home Park.

Ryan Lowe’s side have plenty of firepower and the emergence of Luke Jephcott and the loan signing of Ryan Hardie have given them an extra edge in the final third.

Macclesfield are probably just about safe, but only due to the incompetence of Stevenage. The Silkmen have also been helped by the fact that just one side will be demoted this campaign. Their away form has been disastrous and they have a 2-6-10 record away from Moss Rose.

They’ve lost four of the last five on the road and have failed to find the net in three of those games.

Betting tip for Plymouth vs Macclesfield – Plymouth win – 1/2

What score will Plymouth vs Macclesfield be? 4-0  – 18/1

Swindon vs Forest Green Prediction

Swindon picked up a comfortable home victory in midweek to further cement their lead at the top of the table. Eoin Doyle was back amongst the goals and his double is hugely encouraging for the remainder of the campaign. They have picked up 41 points at the County Ground this season, and have suffered just three defeats on their own patch.

The Robins have not suffered defeat here late September, and they’ve won each of their last five. They’ve scored 2+ goals in each of those games as well.

FGR’s early season promotion charge has fizzled out and Mark Cooper finds himself under pressure. January 11th was the last time that they picked up a victory in League Two and they failed to notch at Scunthorpe last weekend. They are still searching for their first clean sheet of 2020 and it doesn’t seem likely to come here.

Betting tip for Swindon vs FGR – Swindon win – 8/11

What score will Swindon vs FGR be? 3-1  – 14/1
