Porto will not be pushovers in this tie and will be looking to gain revenge for the 5-0 hammering they suffered last season at the hands of Liverpool. They are in a title race similar to Liverpool’s with Manchester City – Porto are currently level on points with Benfica at the top.

However, Liverpool are usually fantastic at home and so in last season’s knock-out rounds they put breathing space between themselves and both Man City and Roma in the quarter finals and semi-final. If they can get a similar lead here it’ll leave them in a great position ahead of the second leg.
