Man City v Everton Betting Tips, Predictions and Preview – Capital One Cup
Manchester City v Everton preview and betting tips for tonight’s Capital One Cup semi-final second leg with a place at Wembley against Liverpool up for grabs.
Tonight’s second Capital One Cups semi-final sees Everton take a 2-1 lead to Man City and we’ve got three football betting tips for the match included in our betting preview.
Man City v Everton Predictions
Unsurprisingly it is Manchester City who are favourites to win tonight’s match, but will it be enough to book their place at Wembley? Everton know a draw will be good enough to see them through but it will be a risky tactic playing for the draw, especially given their form this season.
One positive for Everton is that their away form is much better than their home form, they are unbeaten in seven matches on the road including a recent 0-0 draw against tonight’s opponents at the Etihad.
Everton will want to get a goal tonight and that is where my first betting tip arrives. Romelu Lukaku has been brilliant this season but has gone slightly off the boil of late, however I think he will come good tonight and get the goal that will wipe out Man City’s away goal.
My first Man City v Everton prediction is for Romelu Lukaku to score anytime and the best odds for this are 21/10 with Ladbrokes.

I think this will be incredibly close tonight and I do fancy Man City to win, whether or not it will be enough to see them through in the 90 minutes is a different matter. An Everton goal means Man City will need to score twice to take it to extra time and Martinez has said Everton are going out to win, so they will be looking to attack.
My second football prediction for Man City v Everton tonight is for Man City to win in the 90 minutes, there are two enhanced odds bets you should use, 6/1 from Coral and 5/1 from Paddy Power.

There is every chance that this match could follow the same path as Liverpool v Stoke did last night and go to extra time and even penalties. It might be worth having a small bet on one of the teams to win on penalties and I am going to take a punt on one of the teams for an outside bet.
My final Man City v Everton betting tip is for Everton to win on penalties and the best odds are a massive 33/1 at Bet365.
