Out of Europe and seemingly already out of the title race, the FA Cup appears to be the only realistic chance of silverware for Mancini’s men, as Man City welcome Leeds United to the Etihad.
Man City are the clear and obvious favourites at a best price of 2/9 with Coral, whereas Leeds are an absolutely humongous 16/1 with Stan James. A draw, which would be equally impressive for Leeds is available at 7/1 with Bet Victor.

Man City’s league form has massively hit the skids as of late, with two draws and a defeat in their last three league games – and two of those games were against QPR and Southampton, teams that they really should be putting four past. Leeds are also without in a win in their last three, following up their admirable FA Cup win over Spurs with defeats against Cardiff and Middlesbrough and a draw with Wolves.
Look, we all know that Man City will win this. It’s the only thing they’ve got any hope of winning, and Mancini won’t take any chances. But you’re not going to get rich at odds of 2/9. Man City to win to nil is available at 4/5 with Bet365, and that looks like your safest way of making money – Man City have won seven of their last eight FA Cup ties to nil, and won four of their last five home games to nil as well.
The problem we have is finding any sort of value elsewhere – Man City are such overwhelming favourites that there are FIVE Man City players currently odds on to score anytime with the majority of the bookmakers. One of the few players not odds on is Yaya Toure, whom Man City sorely missed whilst he was away at the African Cup of Nations. He’s 15/8 to score anytime with Stan James, and that’s about as close as you’re going to get as value round these parts.
Finally, the only sort of long odds you’re going to find in a tie as lopsided as this is the correct score market. I reckon that Man City will win, obviously, but it will not be a rout. I’m torn between 2-0 and 3-0 City, i’m going to go with 3-0 on the basis that Mancini will be playing a near full strength team, and Leeds are generally pretty awful away from home – they’ve lost seven of the last ten away from Elland Road. 3-0 is 7/1 with Bet Victor.
Short odds: Man City to win to nil @ 4/5 (Bet365)
Medium Odds: Yaya Toure to score anytime @ 15/8 (Stan James)
Long Odds: Correct Score 3-0 @ 7/1 (Bet Victor)
