The Saturday evening kickoff sees Fulham Travel north to Old Trafford to play Man Utd in a fourth round FA Cup tie.
Paddy Power are doing a money back special on the usual markets if Berbatov scores for Fulham against his former club.
Let’s get the grim reading out of the way nice and early for Fulham fans. Man Utd are have only lost once in their last 14 games, and that was a dead rubber match against Cluj in the Champions League where Wooton, Buttner and Powell played most of the match – Even Frederico 20 cigarettes a day Macheda played 20 minutes! Excluding the Cluj game, their next defeat was against Galatassary, in yet another dead rubber Champions League game. So ignoring these two games, they have won ten and drawn three of their last 13 games. They have played 16 games at home in all competitions, have won 14 of them, lost a cracker against Spurs, and the aforementioned Cluj reserve match. Fulham have only won one of their last nine games in all competitions, and have only won twice on the road this season in 14 attempts.
Despite the formidable array of stats against them, Fulham can take heart in the fact that as much of a fortress Old Trafford is, they are still susceptible at the back – they have only kept five cleans sheets at Old Trafford this season, and Fulham scored twice against them in the league here back in August. I fully expect Man Utd to win here, but squad rotations and dodgy keeper issues mean that Fulham will probably score as well. Both Teams to Score is available at 10/11 with Coral, and Berbatov is available at 4/1 with the same bookmaker to score anytime against his former employers – make sure you know that he’s playing though before placing the bet!
Finally, we reckon that although Man Utd will win, they will not run away with this one. A correct score of 3-1 with Bet Victor at 11/1 appeals, and should reflect the gulf in class between the two teams.
Medium odds: Berbatov to score anytime @ 4/1 (Coral)
