Manchester United vs Liverpool Bet Builder Tips – Salah to bring home this 18/1 bet

Man United betting tips

Manchester United host Liverpool tonight in what will be their third game in six days. Liverpool’s challenge for fourth place received a boost last night when Chelsea lost to Arsenal, so this is a must win game for Klopp’s side now.

United won’t be winning the Premier League this season but can confirm second place with a victory here. Solskjaer understandably made mass changes to his team for the defeat to Leicester on Tuesday but we can expect most of the first 11 to be back for this match including Fernandes, Cavani and Rashford. Harry Maguire will be missing with an injury and faces a race against time to be fit for England’s Euro 2020 Group D fixtures.

TOTAL GOALS: Over 2.5

There have been three or more goals in each of Manchester United’s last four matches and eight of their last nine Premier League home games. They’ve been in good form in front of goal with the likes of Edison Cavani and Mason Greenwood hitting the back of the net. Liverpool should also get on the scoresheet here given that United have only kept one clean sheet at home in the Premier League in their last six matches, and Klopp’s side have scored in each of their last 11 away matches.

ANYTIME SCORER: Mo Salah

Salah is chasing another Golden Boot accolade and will want to get on the scoresheet tonight. He is also the Liverpool penalty taker which also increases the chances of an anytime scorer bet landing. United’s defence is not solid by any means, especially without Maguire, so we’re expecting the Egyptian to get plenty of chances at Old Trafford tonight.

TO BE CARDED: Luke Shaw

The England left-back is having one of the best seasons of his career but he will be up against Mo Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold tonight, so he will be making plenty of tackles and might have to go into the referee’s book. Salah is a clever player when it comes to winning free-kicks and if it’s Shaw will be under pressure to keep him quiet. He’s already picked up seven bookings this season and another one is on the cards tonight.

TO BE CARDED: Bruno Fernandes

The Portuguese star has had a great season for United, scoring a number of penalties. He often goes missing in the big matches and that is where the frustration comes out, so don’t be surprised to see him booked for a petulant challenge or arguing with the referee tonight. He’s got five yellow cards already this season and will need to do some work to break up the quick Liverpool counter attacks too.
