After winning the 2017 MLS Cup, Toronto FC have failed to build upon that hugely positive campaign. Greg Vanney’s side prioritised the CONCACAF Champions League earlier in the year but were defeated in the final. They haven’t quite found their rhythm in the MLS although there are signs that the tide is slowly turning. They picked up a 2-1 victory in Chicago last weekend and they face the same opponents once again but this time, in Canada. TFC have only lost four times at home this season with three of those opponents considered to be play-off certainties. With just one clean sheet here all season, it’s obviously where their problems lie. Chicago Fire are in a poor run of form and will be desperate to turn things around. They’ve now conceded 12 times in four matches and their defence is dodgy. They are scoring goals on the road and have only failed to find the net on one occasion this season so they should play their part in an entertaining 90 minutes of football which could end all-square. Draw is the first of our free football predictions for tonight’s MLS game and they can be backed at 39/11 with Sport Pesa
The second of our Toronto FC vs Chicago Fire predictions is Over 1.5 Second Half Goals. The MLS is synonymous with late goals and these two are amongst the guiltiest parties. This would have landed in six of the Fire’s last nine away games and in each of their last five MLS matches. It would also have paid out in TFC’s last four encounters and all three goals arrived after half-time when they met last weekend. It’s available at 8/11 with Bet Victor and is one of the strongest fancies on today’s football predictions.
Jonathon Osorio has been one of the bright spots in an otherwise forgettable season for Toronto FC so far and the Canadian arrives here in decent form. He scored in the midweek Canadian Championship match against Ottawa Fury and has netted in four of his last five games in all competitions. The winger can be backed at 11/4 with Bet365 and is the last of our Toronto FC vs Chicago Fire predictions.

Jozy Altidore may be a bit of a laughing stock in the UK but the American has really carved out a niche in the MLS and Toronto FC really miss him when he is absent. His injury problems have caused them problems this season but the front-man played 80 minutes in the match last week and his physicality can prove the difference once again.
Goalscorer Nemanja Nikolic has to the be the man to keep an eye on. He scored Fire’s goal againt TFC last week to move him onto double figures and with such a porous defence, it’s vital that they have a goalscorer who can take the burden off the back-line. He is priced at … with … to get the first goal of the game.
