PSG vs Barcelona Preview and Tips – Ibrahimovic to Shine

PSG welcome Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League quarter final tonight and the match is live and free on ITV.

Barcelona’s odds are almost backable at 8/11 (Coral) mainly because of their San Siro performance, PSG are 21/5 (Bet Victor) and the draw is a top price of 29/10 (Bet365).

PSG have been strong in the Champions League this season, winning five of their six group matches and putting Valencia out in the last round after a 2-1 win in Spain was followed by a 1-1 draw in Paris, without talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

That is an impressive performance and this certainly won’t be easy for visiting Barcelona, PSG scored ten goals at home in the group stage, conceding just two and they will almost certainly get on the scoresheet tonight. No prizes for guessing who their most likely goalscorer is (clue: he’s Swedish with a big nose).

In all competitions Barcelona have only won once in their last six on the road, including a 2-0 thrashing by AC Milan in the first leg of the last round. They were also famously beaten by Celtic at Celtic Park in the group stage this season and had to settle for a 0-0 draw with Benfica at the Nou Camp.

From a betting point of view the value is in siding with the home team and it is impossible to ignore Ibrahimovic in the goalscorer markets. He is 11/2 (Coral) to score first against his former club and that is a bet we will be taking.

Barcelona will probably settle for a draw in this first leg with the view of thrashing PSG at the Nou Camp like they did to AC Milan so take the 29/10 about a draw tonight.
